  1. 6 to 8 hours. It depends on how the bass are biting, if I’m fishing from the bank or out of a boat, and the weather.
  2. Nice going! I love days where you can do nothing wrong.
  3. I have some spot, but they're not secret. It's more about knowing how to fish them.
  4. I think one big reason is that there is a lot of hype when a new bait hits the market. With all of the advertising for new tackle maybe people have forgotten what has worked for them in the past.
  5. Sexy Shad, firetiger, shad, and craw pattern have all produced this year.
  6. I like to be the last one launching from the ramp. It gives me a chance to see what everyone else is using for bait, and the direction they are heading.
  7. Congratulations on the new PB! That's a nice one!
  8. I have few small lakes near me and some ponds as well. I like to hit the lakes for a few weeks and then change it up and hit the ponds for a while.
  9. My dad taught me to fish for catfish and panfish when I was a kid. When he retired he started fishing more and more for bass until he was bass fishing all of the time. He taught me how to read the water, and how to read the sky.
  10. Around here daydreaming on the road is not good for your health.
  11. I remember listening to the Stones on the radio when I was a kid. RIP.
  12. The hand I grab the bass with depends on if I'm fishing with a spinning, or baitcasting rod. I'll lip the fish with my left hand because I'm right handed and that's the hand I take the pics with.
  13. I’ve ordered from that site in the past and didn’t have any problems.
  14. All I’m going to say that me and wet rip rap do not mix well together.
  15. I fish ponds and small lakes about 95% of the time. I will keep going back to the same spot until the bass stop biting, or until I get tired of fishing it. Reason being is that all of the ponds within a given area may not be acting the same way. I may be fishing at the only pond within 5 miles where the bass are actually turned on and biting.
  16. Either a 6’6” m/f carbonlite paired with a size 30 president spinning reel, or a 6’6” St. Croix Premier m/f paired with a size 30 president spinning reel.
  17. This is the first year that I have made a majority of my purchases online. It seems like the only baits available in stores are the house brands. The shipping has taken about 1 to 2 months depending on what I’m buying, so I’m ordering before I get down to the last bait in the bag.
  18. I don’t fish with deep diving crankbaits any more. Sometimes it was a relief when I caught a bass on one, since the it usually didn’t pull as hard as the crankbait.
  19. Tough question. I would have to say a Zoom Finesse Worm.
  20. Always a sign of summer when the fog truck comes down the street
  21. Lately when the temps start rising the bass have been wanting to short strike the bait. I get around that by fishing with small 3", and 4" plastics. I want to make sure that the whole bait is in that fish's mouth.
  22. I can accurately pitch and cast most of the time. My biggest problem is that I tend to pitch and cast before I really take a good look at my target. I'm always sending the bait over a tree limb that I didn't see. Maybe I need new glasses.
  23. I start off with a pop-r, spook, or jitterbug when the temps are hot. If I don't see any surface activity, or get any bites within about an hour, I start fishing with a jig or t-rig.
