  1. I've caught a few on jigs this year, but the bass don't seem to be biting jigs like they have in past years. Hopefully with fall coming the jig bite will pick back up.
  2. Purple or tequila sunrise.
  3. Sometimes I wonder if it's the people on the boat, and not the boat itself, that is spooking the fish.
  4. I think some is past fishing experience, and some of it is how well you know the water you're currently fishing.
  5. I hit some ponds yesterday. At one pond the dinks were in full feeding mode. I picked up 10 small bass in about 2-1/2 hours. They were in water willows around the deeper part of the pond. This is the biggest of day.
  6. This channel hit a 4" senko on a split shot rig. I was fishing parallel to the bank.
  7. Some nice bass. Congratulations!
  8. Congratulations on the new PB! That's a good looking bass!
  9. I think a Cordell Big-O was the first crankbait I ever fished with.
  10. If you can find submerged vegetation like coontail or milfoil fish it.
  11. I learned a long time ago that if it's to good to be true, it usually isn't.
  12. I always have better luck with the smaller sizes of the floating minnow, I cast it out and bring it back in slowly.
  13. Folgers at work, and whatever kind Quiktrip has.
  14. Right here. My wife got her second shot on Friday. I got my second shot on Monday.
  15. More experience means you will be able to get a backlash out easier, not that you won't get one. I carry a sharp knife just in case.
  16. Not exactly bait, but I had to purchase a telescopic new lure retriever and a new anchor.
  17. Since the weather got hot sexy shad has been killing it.
  18. Good lord, I've fished in that lake before!
  19. Congratulations!
  20. The one on the far right in the bottom row looks like a big-o.
  21. Nice smallies right there. Good job!
  22. Sounds like my trip Saturday. I got one that I thought was eelgrass.
  23. I've used EWG hooks for years. Don't know why, I just always have.
