  1. I have a 3/4 trap that I use in the fall. The bigger bait seems to work better than the 1/2 ounce size.
  2. I can only get out on the water about once a week, usually on the weekends. I go regardless of the moon.
  3. I fish small cranks up to 5/16 on spinning tackle all of the time. For larger, heavier crankbaits I use a baitcaster.
  4. The total we have had this winter is somewhere around 3.5". We usually get at least one big storm each winter.
  5. I have actually caught bass on the Heddon Big Bud.
  6. I like to use mono.
  7. Right now I'm reading In-Fisherman.
  8. But it's a dry 78 deg.
  9. You might try looking at an auction house in your area.
  10. We got about 3" last night were I am. They were saying we might get 3" to 5". I'm glad we didn't.
  11. I have better luck with straight tails also.
  12. They kind of look like a Mister Twister Sassy Shad.
  13. I have never bought a plastic bait that I didn't want to fish with.
  14. I like to use 1/16 rooster tails, and 2" sassy shads for crappie, but they will catch anything.
  15. I have some lakes like that around me. I usually try using topwater baits, shallow running crankbaits, weightless plastics, or small jigs,
  16. You have a couple of nice smallies right there!
  17. That's a nice bass whatever it weighs!
  18. Bigger is better! Nice going!
  19. A lot of the lakes I fish have thick vegetation growing in them. I will start off with a shakey head, or a dropshot, but after a couple of times cleaning off the bait I will switch to another bait. I guess it is improving my confidence more than anything.
  20. I rarely change them unless they are low grade. I always take a file to them no matter what. It never hurts to make sure the hooks are sharp.
  21. Berkley 5' light lightning rod with a cardinal spinning reel on it. It's great for bluegill and sunnies.
  22. It is 6 outside right now. Wind chill is about -10 degrees.
  23. I've never heard of one in my area. Garage sales and auctions are about it.
  24. I can think of three right off hand. Luckily I have blocked out the rest.
  25. In warmer weather I start off with a craw, and in colder weather I start off with a chunk.
