I keep rain gear and rubber boots in the car, but not a change of clothing.

A lot of layers, and waterproof boots.

Usually just some granola bars and a sandwich. I do freeze some water bottles so I can get a cold drink.

For me, tube fishing is the same as jig fishing. I will use a t-rigged tube in places where I can't use a jig. Places like thick weeds, or grass. Sometimes a tube pulls through more easily.

I wonder if we will have a fast spring, and then go straight into the summer sizzle??

When I was a lot younger I friend showed me how to put together a bait for catfish. It's a C-rig and you just let it sit on the bottom.

All of my rods are 6'-6". MH-F trigger rod for jigs MH-F trigger rod for Cranks/spinnerbaits MH-F trigger rod for t-rigged baits M-F spinning rod for finesse plastics These four usually cover anything that I run into while in someone else's boat. If I know I am going somewhere and I will need a rod for punching through mats, I will bring a 6'-6" H-F bc rod that is basically a utility pole that I can attach a reel to.

Mine is using a jig. I've loved them ever since I caught my first bass on one.

I have had some of my best fishing trip while it was raining. As long as I have rain gear on it doesn't bother me.

I just wonder if a snake that size did get a hold of you, how much time you would actually have to pull a weapon and use it?

I don't have a boat, but if I did I would not leave anything in it. I have heard a lot of stories about people leaving their gear in the boat overnight, and when they came out the next morning it was gone.

All about the $$$. Like others have said, a lot of places will only carry what is hot right now, and getting all the media hype.
