  1. I use a palomar for everything.
  2. I'm the same way. With the expection of a couple of my reels that have very shallow spools (TD-S 105, Morrum UM Forrells) I remove half the line off the spool and then tie the new line to the old. It's normally between 75-100 yards. This saves time and money when respooling. Same here. I have been using mono, and if the line starts feeling kinky, or if it looks faded compared to new line out of the box I will put new line on.
  3. I'll t-rig it until it starts getting torn up. Then I'll wacky rig it.
  4. Years ago we were throwing a Heddon Big Bud in a pond that was maybe 5 or 6 acres. The bass were tearing it up. It was the only thing they would hit.
  5. Welcome to the forum!!!
  6. Welcome Aboard
  7. You did a good job Glenn, Its looking good!!!
  8. Hopefully I'll be able to get out between X-mas and New Years. So far this month we've had to replace the stove and water heater in the house, and the main sewer line has backed up.
  9. Exactly how many bait monkeys have you got on your back???
  10. x2 x3. Don't overthink it, "Just Do It" x4. This time of year I throw a 3/8 black and a 3/8 blue black.
  11. 1. Don't use them. 2. No trailers, hooks sometimes. 3. Dark colors down deep. 4. 3/8 or 1/4 ounce depending on depth and what the fish want.
  12. Zoom finesse worm or a Zoom trick worm. Both in black grape.
  13. Gift cards from Cabelas and BPS.
  14. Many years ago I was on a rock dam and one of the rocks rolled. My knee came down on a pointed rock and I had a hole in my knee about the size of a penny. It swelled up and I couldn't bend it for 10 days. I went to the ER and x-rays looked like a car windshield, OK around the edges but busted up in the middle.
  15. To all you guys down south that white stuff is called snow .
  16. Congratulations!
  17. Looks to me like it was relieving itself and didn't know the camera was there.
  18. Another baitmonkey spot is the Gateway Outfitters in St. Peters at highway 70 and the Cave Spring exit.
  19. Its 33 here and spitting snowflakes off and on. I can't wait to get out and get my line wet .
  20. A 3/8 or 1/4 black-blue strike king jig with a dark colored baby brush hog or crawfish trailer.
  21. I have about 20 rat-l-traps and around 9 super spots, mostly in natural colors. The largest I have ever caught on them was in the 3 pound range.
  22. We stayed at The Animal Kingdom Lodge two years ago, and I wanted to try it for a 1/2 day. My wife and two girls reminded me that this was a family vacation and that we were going to do family things...like hit every friggin store in Disney World :-/.
  23. Years ago my wife went a couple of times with me but that all changes when (1.) she caught a turtle and felt sorry for it, and (2.) she dropped a rod and reel into the drink. Luckily it was a Zebco 33 on an old rod. Now my wife and two daughters go with me to the BPS and pick out pretty baits for me to buy and look at the fish tank.
  24. I try and get out every weekend as long as the lakes are not iced up.
