  1. Dog person. I've never owned a cat and I don't think ever will.
  2. Man that's rough. Take it one day at a time, things will turn around before you know it.
  3. I punch with an old 6'6" H/F Daiwa Procaster rod. I got it from my dad back in 2005 and it was at least 10 years old at that time.
  4. I did this some years ago fishing with my dad. We were in about 4 FOW and he told me to drop the anchor. A couple of minutes later I spotted something on the surface and started casting at it. It finally dawned on me I was casting at the anchor line floating on the surface.
  5. I've been checked a few times, always on weekdays when I go fishing on a day off from work. I've forgotten my license one time, and forgot to renew it the year they changed the expiration date to March. Luckily those two times were on the weekend.
  6. My sister in law had her card hacked back in the spring. She is still dealing with it. She had a fraud alert placed on her card so that everytime a purchase is made she gets a call asking if it is a legit purchase or not. The aggravating thing is that the hackers opened up a new card in my sis in laws name. She tried to get it closed, but since she didn't open it she doesn't know the security questions and the company will not cancel the card.
  7. Not much snow down this way, but a lot of cold wind. Wind chill an hour ago was -32 degrees.
  8. I fish a variety of different jerkbaits, but most are husky jerks and rogues. I usually stick to natural colors, or clown.
  9. Welcome!
  10. Never happened while casting, but a couple of years ago I slipped and fell while walking down a dam. I lost my rod in the fall, but I when I got back up the rod was under me, and missing some guides.
  11. All of my rods are ready to go when I am. Most of the time I will only take 3 baitcasters and 1 or 2 spinning. A lot of it depends on what type of structure and cover I will be fishing.
  12. I only order what is in stock. If TW is out of what I want then I start looking somewhere else.
  13. That is quite a smallie. Erie has really turned around from when it was so polluted back in the day.
  14. I talk to a lot of retired guys. I usually get out on the water one or two days a week. Some of these guys fish 5 or 6 days a week, and they know what is going on with the lakes and ponds.
  15. I was always taught that if you need to do something, then do it right the first time. This was the standard, no matter what the job.
  16. A Merry Christmas to everyone.
  17. Reel maintenance, wire tie skirts as needed, sharpen or replace hooks, and organize tackle. If that doesn’t keep me busy there is always work and the never ending honey do list.
  18. Smallies fight harder. They always have and they always will.
  19. Either Stren or Trilene. Usually I like to use 6 lb, but sometimes I will go down to 4 lb.
  20. I learned cursive in 2nd grade. Still use it today to take notes at work. For a while my writing was getting very bad, then I started wearing my glasses and my writing really improved.
  21. Depending on the size of the bait I will use a 1/0, or a 2/0 EWG hook.
  22. Some of my best bass have come when I'm moving a plastic worm on top of matted vegetation with a fast retrieve.
