Diy kayak transport
Check out YouTube. There are a couple of racks you can purchase that makes lifting a yak up on top of a car easier.

My Problem With YouTube Fishing Videos...
I like the videos where the angler will be talking about the lake being fished. Also like the ones where the angler explains what is going on with the bait and how it is being worked. I turn it off when they start boating one bass right after another, or start talking about how I should run out and buy a certain bait.

Old fishing holes that are off limits anymore
I have three places near me where you can no longer fish. Two were private pay lakes on farms. One farm was sold to developers and turned into a sub division, the other was purchased by a paintball company. The third lake is owned by the Conservation Dept. and turned into a dog training lake.

Winter 2022-23
We have another cold front coming down tonight with temps expected in the teens again. Air temps on Saturday and Sunday will be in the 40's and 50's.

Are there too many options?
I'm not one to run out and buy a new bait as soon as it comes out. I wait to see how it is working for other anglers before I spend. I've also cut back on the colors I fish with. There is only a handful of different colors in my bag right now.

Most recent PB
I caught my PB largemouth back in 2009 on a Jitterbug. My PB smallie came out of a creek in southern Missouri back in 2015. I got that one on a tube.

Gutter Cleaning
I have to clean out my gutters 3 or 4 times a year. I start at one end and just work my way down. Never any fun.

Welcome to the forums.

Canned fish...
I like tuna and salmon. Sardines are the worst, even without the can.

Gear for spring...
I've been looking at buying a new UL spinning rod. Casting some of those small panfish baits with my ML rod takes some practice.

Fav Finesse Jig Trailer?
This time of year I would be thinking more of the size of the profile. Around here smaller is better and it works best to thread the trailer on the jig hook.

Early spring bassin
Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, swim jigs, chatterbaits, and maybe a lipless crank if I don't snag it. I'd position the boat on one side and cast along the edges where it drops off.

Favorite cut of steak/beef
My favorite is a NY strip, but I will eat any of them.

Shimano stuff
I'm currently only using a SLX-150 right now. I've got a Bantam 100 from the 80's and a Curado E7 as part of the collection in the drawer. I've also owned a Sahara and a Sedona. All good solid reels.

Deep grass beds
Spinnerbaits, Chatterbait, Swim Jig, or a Rat L Trap. I like the jig because I can hop it across the top of the vegetation if swimming doesn't work.
-
Wake Baits
Wakebaits are a standard for me. When the vegetation starts growing in the spring and summer it is about the only treble hook bait I can fish with. Mann's Baby One Minus, and The Egg are my two main baits.

Postal service
No issues with our mail, but many of the new subdivisions they are building near me don't even have mail carriers any longer. You go to the post office and pick up your own mail.

Finding fish in winter…look for bait, structure or bass?
Around here I fish in the same deep vegetation that I do during the summer months.
