  1. You ask our favorite... 4lb original Fireline; white color. 8lb hybrid monofilament leader. A spinning rod that will protect a light line, mine... 8' 3" ml, fast. oe
  2. A fishing boat is NO place to do any activities that cologne will benefit? I'd be far more concerned about hooking myself, or someone I was trying to impress, at an anatomical location that neither of us would want disclosed... oe
  3. More often than not, I see the line jump where it enters the water before I feel the bite of a bass. Panfish will peck at a bait but a good sized bass will engulf a bait and sit there without the angler feeling a strike. oe
  4. They should work fine fishing the pond you have in your bedroom closet.
  5. I loosened the screw holding the propeller a little and adjusted the pitch of the blade. oe
  6. When wanting more weight added to my suspending jerkbaits, I add an additional split ring (or two) to a hook hanger (or two).
  7. To sell more baits...
  8. Alberto knot... cut the nylon/fluoro leader tag as short as possible; leave 1/2"+ of PE line tag (it won't bother your cast). oe
  9. 15lb test, .14mm diameter on my Pixy 68L (full spool). I fish hard jerkbaits and small crankbaits with it. Usually I have a .01" diameter nylon/fluoro co-polymer monofilament leader tied to the end of it. oe
  10. Cliff notes: Use a spinning combo to fish the top 1/3 of the water column with noisy baits. Chatterbait, single Colorado spinner bait, walking top-water bait, buzz bait, ect. You might try a fluke through the top of weed beds. oe
  11. I don't know what the "best" knot is, because when I learned the Alberto knot I stopped looking for a better one. oe
  12. Shiners, white bass, crappie, drum, carp... a shad pattern crankbait could look a little like many juvenile bait fish species.
  13. As Scaleface mentioned, include firetiger in the mix...
  14. garden hose with adjustable spray nozzle, whatever dish soap your wife has (scent is a needless worry), and a 12 year old boy to hold the boxes on the yard as you spray the snot out of them. oe
  15. Those jerkbaits I fish regularly reside in 1/2 of a 3600 plano box and they come fishing with me. Duplicates to those I keep in a 3700 box in my tackle room. Periodically those I haven't fished in a couple of years I give away. Much easier to store in someone else's tackle room... oe
  16. Fish the way you enjoy. I've never fished a Texas rig...
  17. 2nd generation Revo Premier/ Diawa Pixy 68L still using both
  18. The line being viewed in front of a similar color background. The line I'm fishing deep inside the weeds I want dark, in open water being viewed from below I prefer a white line that blends into the sky color.
  19. Is this for you to recognize between them or another reason?
  20. The going rate for a "global moderator" should provide enough for a few Brewer's spider heads. I've seen go-fund-me accounts set up for less important causes...
  21. Only the original bronze 3/0 spider head... but often.
  22. Similar situation... small pond, ice out last Friday. Daytime highs low 40's night lows 20's. 45 minutes after work yielded 3 largemouths... largest 14". Each of them picked the 3 1/2" tube off the bottom while it lay still for 20 seconds. Moral of the story... fish when you can... safely. oe
  23. shouldn't this belong in "fishing reports" board?
  24. OP, I would not tie with those feathers.
