My "on foot" shore fishing box is set up this way... Haven't had problems in the past. I open the box lid over night after each outing.

"Double hook" replacements have been mentioned in a couple replies, but it's far easier and cheaper to snip off the leading hook point of the front treble hook.

I bought a size 30 Supreme XT awhile back and have considerable problem with it's anti-reverse sporadically not catching. Have you experienced that problem with any of yours, if so, how did you fix the problem.

Winter storage for my rods is vertically standing in a cardboard box placed in a corner of my utility room. Reels are kept in original boxes on a shelf in the same room. KISS system... oe

I leave the barbs on the front treble and file the barbs on middle and back trebles. I find it easier to deal with when more than one treble is embedded.

I've always wanted a Shimano Scorpion reel but never pulled the string. I think my favorite was the 1001xt... but I don't know why. Maybe because it was the classic burgundy color. Tell me your favorite Scorpion.
