Spinnerbait equivalent of a Jackhammer
I've got one I've been successfully catching bass with the last couple of years... but you wouldn't like it.

How do I determine the correct tube jig head (weight and hook size)?
My bit of advice fishing small tube baits... pinch down the hook barb. After many years fishing lightly weighted plastics, the tube bait is the ONLY bait I've had swallowed deeply before I could recognize the bite and set the hook. oe

Dragging vs. Slow Lift and Drop for Winter and Early Spring Jig Fishing?
I've not had much success dragging many baits as lake bottoms here are covered in stringy/clingy algae and decaying weeds or large rocks or all of the above. As slow as possible usually means very short "scoots" with frequent rests and/or slow as I can swimming just above the mess.

any member here, NOT posting up fish catch pics?
You may correct, but I've never taken the time learning to use it. I can remember my better catches and after all, I'm the only one I'm fishing to satisfy...

Fluoroshield co-poly
I think I'm going to give 8lb test Berkley Fluoroshield a try on a casting rod/reel I use when fishing suspending jerkbaits, top water and small crankbaits. The line has been in the market place for a couple years, but I haven't found many comments/reviews positive or negative. I'm interested in anyone's experienced opinion if they'd be willing to share. oe

I don't even take a camera with me when I fish...

When to use what finesse jig

Reel size, line length?
Good information above, trust it, To add, as the spool diameter increases so does the drag washer size which also increases the drag force and sometimes the smoothness of the drag. Casting distance will increase as line diameter becomes thinner, but casting distance will also increase as spool diameter increases. I own Pflueger spinning reels, size 25, 30 and 35. Size 25 gets fished very rarely, size 35 is used most often. Your mileage may vary, but I'm guessing you're here in the first place to learn from those with experience in the subject. oe

wire bait keeper length
Thanks for the answers above. I don't mold my own, but tie on various jig heads. I'm giving thought to tying a marabou jig using a small mushroom head with a wire keeper. The jig I currently have is as I've described above with the keeper extending only 1/4" below the head. I want more room to tie and still add a plastic tail. I'm guessing a 1/2" keeper may be long enough. I'll keep my eyes open for such a 1/8oz jig head. oe

wire bait keeper length
current mushroom head jig has wire bait keeper extending 1/4" from the head. Are there longer wire bait keepers that would extend 1/2" beyond lead jig head? Thanks for the info. oe
