Trolling Motor Efficiency?
Effiency I believe would be judged by the amp hours of the battery divided by the amp draw of the motor. I'm not postive on this but I think the amp draw is (pound thrust/ volts)x(12)

Must-Have On-Boat Tools And Gadgets
Those 99 cent BPS disposable rain ponchos. After being soaked in a December rain 20 miles away from the ramp, I always have those now

Sun Dolphin Pro 120
Here's a link where somebody else had questions about the same boat and I gave more details on this thread also. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/155998-sun-dolphin-pro-120/?fromsearch=1

Sun Dolphin Pro 120
I had the basstender version amd it was a great boat. My friend had the sundolpin anf it was a little nicer. I would recliner it if you can afford it. If it's stretching your budget you can get a bigger aluminum with a trailer for the same price. You do need a trailer for these boats IMO. They can fit in a pickup with the tailgate down and the boat strapped, but they are extremely heavy. The hull design is a little slower than a lot of hulls. But they are very stable for a 12 foot boot. Probably more so than my 1542 jon boat.

Welded V Riveted Bass Tracker
For $600 brand new, youre looking at a 1232 or a 1036. Neither boat will be "comfortable" for 2 people and a dog. The grizzly boats are 2400 atleast without a trailer. My suggestion would be the 1542 it's wider and longer and can handle rougher water than the other flat bottoms. I bought mine for around $2,200 brand new tax, tag, title, out the door.

Finally Got My First Boat
Don't go pressure treated, get marine grade. New pressure treated wood has chemicals that don't react well with aluminum. Other than that, sounds like a good deal. In my area you would probably find that for $700+ even without a trailer

Launching By Yourself
I back in to where the boat starts to float with the front strap still locked. Put it in park, unstrap, push it off by hand, put the power pole down (optional), then tie off to the dock, start the motor to let it warm up, and then I'm ready to go once I park. When I come back o tie off to the dock back the trailer in so that the fenders are partially submerged ( your boat and trailer may be different, you just need to find the sweet spot) power load it all the way up and then strap it to winch. I do that on my 1542 jon and used to do it all the time with my dad's old 17 foot aluminum sea nymph.

Boat Flotation Replacement
If you want a bad idea, fill it with concrete. Concrete doesn't absorb water once it cures. In all seriousness I believe it's a coast guard regulated rule that your boat needs to have proper flotation. Don't think you can get around that. If you take all of the foam out from under your bench seats, they will probably get flimsy and loud. That's how my tracker 1542 is and couldn't imagine it without the foam.

1432 Lowes Won't Plane
The whale tail should get it up on plane but is usually just a bandaid for the problem. The rule of thumb is usually to get the fin above the water intake just under the hull. You shouldn't be under powered though my 1542 planes out at a little more than half throttle with a 15 HP 4 stroke. Full gear full gas, battery, full cooler, and about 400 pounds between me and my buddy.

Who Makes A Nice 12' Skiff?
12 foot Carolina Skiff's are common around here. My friend has one with the deck of a 14 footer. Its a great little boat

Tracker Boats Pro 170 Or Pro 175 Txw?
My buddy has the 175, and it's an awesome boat to me. All of the trackers and Nitros get ripped on by people for build quality. My buddy has had zero problems with the boat though. The don't have the amazing layouts like glass boats do for the most part but most aluminum don't. One thing I would consider is the customer service. Tracker's " Power Pro's" are notorious for being pretty incompetent for the most part. I know my tracker jon boat will chip paint under an everyday garden hose and they where less than helpful the day after I bought the boat brand new.

Sun Dolphin Pro 120
Yes, I believe it does but right before it goes to the transom there's a little cut out. That's to vent charging batteries and venting gas tanks.

Sun Dolphin Pro 120
I owned a bass tender 11.3. Its the same boat minus carpet for the most part.the deck has a lot of space for a 12 foot boat. There is space for a foot control but I would get one that used a clamp mount, due to the possibility of screws or bolts wiggling out of the plastic if you don't pop off the top half amd bolt it right. Amazon also sells a mount for $60 to use a normal footcontrol. The hollow spot under the back deck is for a gas tank and/or a battery. It is also vented in the center right up against the transom. The boat is very stable I believe the inside floor is just at 48" and a little wider outside the boat. The tri hull design handles rough water pretty well for a small boat.

Carolina Skiff J16?
Yesterday, I was on my friends J12 out in the intracoastal and ocean and am amazed by the stability of that boat. We went a few miles off shore into 4-6 foot waves. Yes it sounds stupid, but it's pretty normal here in south florida. In the intracoastal that little boat felt like a rock. I wouldn't hesitate buying it because of a stability issue.

Which Rod; 7'mh Or 7'3Mh?
For the past 8 years I've always preferred the 7' MH rods and rarely do I step out if that area for anything. A few weeks ago I broke a rod under warranty and the company only had a 7'3" in stock unless I wanted to wait until June. I've been fishing the rod a lot now and I prefer it to the same exact rod in a 7' and all of my other 7' rods. Lesson learned for me. Try it out and maybe you'll end up liking it. I haven't lost any casting accuracy and gained distance. Hooksets in theory should be better. The big thing for me is just how the rods action changed at 7'3". It has more tip with the same back bone.

Revo Sx/stx Questions
I would go with a Hawgtech handle. I met up with one of them at the ramp to buy a handle as a father's day gift, and it's awesome. Looks great and feels even better. Great guy and a Bassresource sponsor.

Lake Osbourne Bank Fishing?
This area can be very hard to fish and some days seem next to impossible to land a bass. The peas are a lot easier to catch. The area with the heavy pads you where talking about I believe is behind Palm Beach State College, near that firefighter training building. The pads died off in the winter since the water is about 1-3 feet deep and got cold really fast. They should be back come mid summer. There's a bunch of stumps in that area that I consistently catch fish from both Bass and the Peas.

Ranger Aluminum Rt188
I haven't fished one before but from what I've seen this is my next boat when I can afford it.

Show Me Your Replacement Seats In Your Minitoon
Bought her 5 years ago and found the seats in the trash. I personally love them, although I have a bigger boat and this one doesn't see much action anymore.

Lake Osbourne Bank Fishing?

Lake Osbourne Bank Fishing?
It's pretty accesible on the Southside by the bridge and across from the airport also just have to park on the side of a side street. I'm not sure if it's allowed though I always use my boat but see people do it.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
The micro weighs I think seven pounds just the unit. The pole probably weighs 5 or so pounds. Its virtually no extra weight and locks down my 15 foot Jon boat with a big 4 stroke on the back. The nice part is I can order the clamp bracket and slap it onto my perch when I use that within less than a minute.
