i dont really set fishing goals. i mean everyone wants to get better and yada yada. but the more i can avoid having fishing become like a chore or work the better off i am. i just like to relax and fish without having to worry about meeting expectations or filling out a fishing log and stuff like that...

check with his old neighbors, maybe they have a cell phone number or something of the guy you bought the boat from, or maybe they know where he moved. or maybe a different Alabama DMV office will decide to let you register it.... does the law even require you register that boat in particular?

I am of the thinking sensitivity is one of the most overrated things in bass fishing that gets throw around. i believe sensitivity comes more from your hands than any rod or line. afterall, a rod has no sense of feeling, but your hands do...

0 bass and 1 catfish, but i havent went fishing for bass either. i may hit up a pond this weekend, but im not sure. then next weekend im heading to smith mountain lake for some easter bassing and fishing...

same deal at my walmart, there are like 10 boxes of the stuff for $1.50 a lure

and some people here have thought i was crazy for using the same mono on a reel for 3-4 years and because i only change line when it gets low or i want to try a new line or size on a particular reel which isnt often. here we have success stories of people keeping line, and mono at that, for 10-15-20 years and it still working fine. this can be an important thread for people new to fishing, in the aspect that some people here will have them convinced their line will go bad after every trip and that is just not the case...

The problem with Mountain Monsters is they ALWAYS claim to see/hear/locate the cryptid monster theyre looking for, even finding bigfoot has episodes where they are basically skunked. i will take finding bigfoot any day. im really interested in bigfoot though. bigbill, are you serious? i ask not because im skeptical and want to criticize but because im truely interested. if you have any possible bigfoot stories or encounters i would love to hear them. same for anyone else here. there are enough people here that have spent significant time with outdoors to possibly have had a sighting or encounter of some sort. though probably no one will tell for fear of being ridiculed...

ironically, got my mom a new abu garcia cardinal fishing combo. it was her idea, so it made things simple, she has already used it too. yeah i gave it to her early because she wanted to go fishing and didnt want to use her old lightweight shimano combo. i will probably end up taking her out for breakfast or lunch that day, and maybe buy her a flower or tree of her choice which is the usual gift...

Smith Mountain Lake in VA. My aunt and uncle have a vacation house on the lake there and i go down there with them several times a year. They gave me my own key lol. I love the scenery and its just such a relaxing place for me. Its so peaceful for me there that i can sleep at a moments notice any time of day, cant do that at home. also when im there everything in my mind goes blank for the weekend. all my worries, problems, happenings from home go away for a few days and my mind is crystal clear. i tell people going there is therapy for me. sometimes i'll go down to the dock and fish during the day and end up taking a nap in the boat which is on the lift swaying slightly back and forth. then theres those late nights fishing, where i have fell asleep on the dock sitting in a chair when the catfish werent biting so good. often contemplated just spending the night down there and waking up in the morning right there ready to fish, but always end up carrying myself up to the house lol. Last year due to certain circumstances i didnt get to go too much, havent been down there since 4th of july last year. but i got my first trip down there planned in a couple weeks and time wont go fast enough, and work has been busy as hell, i really cant wait to get away...

while i currently reside in WV, i grew up most my life in VA so ill go with VA, and give another vote to Smith Mountain Lake. also consdering ive never fished any WV lakes. in the summer on a 4th of july weekend, ive seen SML so rough from boat traffic that it appeared that the water was boiling as boat/jetski wakes converged from all different directions

i believe we all agree fish should be treated with care, but in certain cases many people over worry about it. the fish is much tougher than people think.

griffin has 2 more years on his deal plus the team holds an option for the a 5th year, as with all first round picks. so he is not up for a new deal. Morris also has 2 years left. kerrigan is entering his 4th year and the team will likely excercise his 5th year option if not outright extend his contract. orakpo, you are correct on, he is playing on a one year franchise deal which he has already signed, the team has till i think mid-july to extend him longterm or he is forced to play under the one year deal. trent williams is a guy the team needs to extend, he is an elite probowl left tackle, gonna cost some money. but the skins have capspace and the cap is expected to rise a lot next year with new tv deals kicking in. plus we have two salary cap masters in eric schaffer and bruce allen, and snyder is always ready to open the checkbook... meanwhile you have gm howie roseman who i compare to former redskins gm vinny cerrato. a guy who thinks he is so smart, yet constantly outsmarts himself. you have an over-obsessive head coach in chip kelly. in time thats going to turn players off. saw that with shanahan in dc. we've done a lot to improve special teams, and that includes jackson returning an occasional punt. we also have signed Andre Roberts from the Cards who can return kicks. plus weve signed a bunch of mid-level free agents, mainly inside LBers who can play special teams. and i agree that jackson gives us a weapon we havent had in awhile at WR. not since Moss was young and in his prime. having a legit deep threat will open up a lot of other things in the redskins offense. garcon and roberts will be able to thrive underneath. morris and even griffin will have more running lanes because safeties and LBers will have to drop into coverage more often. and lets not forget what this will do for tight end jordan reed. he will not have to worry about seeing double coverage. of course it all depends on the work they put in and if they can execute properly. hopefully we can find our safety in the 2nd round of the draft, we did re-sign merriweather and brung back ryan clark after all these years. but we do need a long term solution there. i also think we need more depth at in- and out-side LB and offensive tackle

i will gladly welcome jackson to my Redskins. we have two legit wide receivers now. cant wait to see him burn philly twice a year too
