Best car chases...
Bullitt and French Connection set the bar really high long ago. I'm not sure I've seen a movie car chase since that could beat either one.

An Amazing "transformers" Japanese Lure- MUST SEE
I'm sure a saturday morning kids cartoon is next followed by a movie. If we wait, we can get the lure for free in a Happy Meal.

Can I use a 6V battery to slow down TM?
Some TM's won't even turn with only 6volts applied.

Zillion or Revo "Skeet Resse"
Fixed the first line for you. I've owned and used both STX and Premere Revo's. I've never owned a Zillion. What I can say is this, you're quibbling if you're making a statement about one being smoother than the other. The SR Revo is a premere that's had bearings added along with the centrifugal braking system vs. the mag braking. I'm not sure how much smoother one can make a reel. You're basically picking nits. As for the gripes. It's no wonder Skeet went with the centrifugal braking. Despite the fact you have to remove the side plate to change brake settings, it still works better than the externally adjustable mag braking on either the STX or the Premere. Now, having said that, the centrifugal braking Garcia is using on the Revo is rather cheap looking. Those little plastic pins just aren't worthy of a reel costing as much as the Reese model.. They could've borrowed the centrifugal brake system that Pflueger uses. While that system is heavier, it also has a more solid feel and is a time tested design. My only other complaint with the Revo line are the handles. Except for the STX, the handles on the Revo line aren't any different that what they're sticking on a 5500 C3. Not that there's anything wrong with the handle just that a reel line that's new like the Revo line is/was should've had a new handle design instead of one that's been used on most Garcia reels for many years now.

Best spinning reel value
I sold my Penns and got Pflueger Presidents. Just an absolutely amazing reel for the price.

Motor removal help
Hey Mike. I've seen some "new" boats from the good folks at Nitro and their fiberglass boat subsidiaries with construction flaws and defects that I couldn't believe. If silicone could actually bond to a resin based gelcoat, I'm betting the good folks at BPS would be the first to achieve it.

Tool Descriptions
Great list Frog. The hacksaw description really had me laughing. ;D ;D

Motor removal help
Slowly begin raising the hoist. The silicone should not have made any sort of chemical bond with the gelcoat that would cause damage..... wait, I see it's a Nitro. I'll rephrase that statement. The silicone probably didn't make a chemical bond with the gelcoat that would cause damage but that depends on what day of the week it went down the assembly line at the Nitro plant.

Pics of old lures not made you still use!
It was Virgil Ward and he and his sons owned and operated the Bass Buster Bait company for quite a few years before they sold it to the Johnson reel company. Makers of the infamous Beetle Spin, they also had a twin spin spinnerbait I can't remember the name off hand. That bait had a couple of small colorado blades mounted in a V fashion that folded up and slid through the line eye when the bait wasn't in use to make storage easier. Those are still in the package. Nice. 8-)

State Permits for lakes that adjoin two states....rip off.
Yikes! Missouri has a special "White River Border Lakes" permit that allows you to fish in either the Missouri or Arkansas side of Table Rock, Bull Shoals or Norfolk lakes for only $10 extra on top of the states $12 resident license fee. An Arkansas non-resident license would cost $40 if that wasn't available. Quite a savings.

TM extension handles
Minn Kota makes an extension you can get at BPS, Cabela's or even Walmart. It runs around $18.

Places to stay on Table Rock Lake
The name rings a bell but I just can't place it. If you haven't been to Table Rock in awhile it's changed quite a bit. What was once a fairly unused lake mostly utilized by fishermen has become quite a popular playground for people of all interests. That means increased boat traffic, more expensive lodging and the old feel of being on a rather un-commercialized lake is gone.

Way to go UPS 2.0
I've been told that anything over 6' long has to be hand carried through the facilities as the conveyor systems aren't designed to handle anything that long. Methinks the term "hand carried" has a different meaning in the parcel shipping industry. ;D

Cabela's Customer Service is GREAT!
I once ordered about $25 worth of carpet from them to make some repairs to my boat. They sent the wrong color. They instructed me to reship it back to them via UPS and they'd refund me. When I went to UPS they were going to charge me $25 for shipping due to the 6' length. I refused and called Cabela's customer service back. The gal laughed, understood and told me to just keep the carpet while they sent me the correct color for free. Great folks.

2009 Bass Fishing Goals
I'll bet that one tested the meddle of that new Curado E. ;D Careful what you wish for though, anything bigger might warp those graphite side plates on those reels.

Asking About Specific Subject Matter
1. The articles featured on this site are clearly not being utilized by many just judging from many of the questions. The amount of information available in the drop down menu's is absolutely astounding. It's so under utilized by newbies it's sad. I try and direct, via a link, to any article that answers their question. I figure if I direct them to those articles, they might realize they're there and start to explore all the information available to them. 2. If a specific question is asked about a rod, reel, lure or technique, if it's been asked several times in the recent past the question poser is probably not going to get much response. It's pretty simple, how many times do we need to go over this? Example: There was ANOTHER question very recently about BPS Crankin sticks. There have been numerous threads on that particular line of rods in the past, many giving great info from owners. Simply search and find them. If you have an additional question, ask that in one of the existing threads vs. starting a new one. It adds less clutter and you'll get a response quicker.

Topwater rod
I have 2 rods I use. One is an old pistol grip BPS Bionic Blade IM6 rod that's 6' long, med/fast and the other an All Star Titanium Zell Rowland topwater rod in 6'6" Light/ex fast. I'm not keen on using anything longer that 6'6" to dog walk lures. It just seems cumbersome to do so.

bass pro shops customers: check your statements
I used the same promo to buy my carpet. Almost the same amount as you. I got the discount when I checked my statement. It must be a glitch of some kind.

Fenwick Rods
While I don't own any now, if I were to change brands to something other than All Star, Fenwick would be the brand I'd change to. Great rods.
-
Should I buy it?
A fool? Yes. Buy it, turn around and resell it for $200 - 250. Then buy the rod you want.

Well its here chronarch d
The older Pearl Chronarch's were nice looking reels. This appears similar in appearance. Interesting that they offer a 7.. and 5.. gear ratio but nothing inbetween.

Tackle Bag v.s Tackle Box
Oh great! Just when they're finally making boats big enough to allow you to open both "wings" at the same time.
