What annoys you?
You know those same individuals(for lack of a better term) that will skin their fish right on the bank and leave the remains there to gather every fly within 3 miles... Isn't that a good thing for the guys annoyed by bugs?

What annoys you?
1. People who either can't read, or simply ignore the "No fishing from dock or boat ramp" signs. 2. Jet Skiers. Not all but about 90% of them. 3. People who think that the launch ramp is the place where you load everything from the truck into the boat including icing down coolers. 4. See #3 plus they don't know how to back a boat down a ramp. 5. Fishing an area where a lot of bank fishing is done and constantly getting hung up on old catfish rigs broken off on the bottom. 6. Getting on a good soft plastic bite but running low on the bait and remembering that I was supposed to remember to restock that bait/color the last time I was at the tackle store.

This is the nicest Ford GT I've seen.
Barry MacGuire did a tour of the GT assembly plant on his "Car Crazy" show. Those cars are not built like any other Ford. It is a model specific plant and each one is built to order much the same way a Ferrari would be. Not sure I like the blingy wheels though. Not really in keeping with the lineage of the car IMO. The original GT40's were one of the most beautiful race machines ever built. The lines of that car needed little massaging to make it any better. Very much like the long enduring Porsche 911.

Cool little details in Megabass baits
For the price those baits go for they better be capable of fish speak and the secret art of edible coercion.

Burnout
Actually, it's the women that just want someone to listen. Men actually want their problems fixed unless you're making some type of insinuation about fourbizz. ;D

Burnout
I was around your age when I put down the rods for a few years. I took up ......... golf....... chasing women and partying late into the nights at bars. Those years were a blur and when I burned that flame out, I went right back to bass fishing, even more impassioned than ever before. It can happen to anyone.

Scam warning!
I received an email from Wal-mart the other day. Or at least it looked like Walmart. They wanted me to take a buyer survey about my local store. If I took the survey I could be eligible to win a $100 credit for Walmart. After inputting my zipcode and closest store I was immediately informed that I was going to receive the $100 credit (despite the fact I hadn't even taken the survey yet.) They then asked for my credit card information explaining they'd credit my account the $100. : Yaa, right. I went to Walmart.com and could find no way to contact them about this. I hope no one else got one of these and fell for it.

E-bay a sellers market
Besides selling rods and reels (which I barely do anymore), I also sell lamps for rear projection DLP and LCD TV sets. It's amazing how buyers will attempt to rip you off. I learned the best way to handle them was NOT offer a monetary refund but instead, an exchange. I also have a very lengthy refund description in the item description which basically states "Once you buy it, it's yours." A number of folks have bought one, found out the lamp wasn't the problem with their set and then wanted their money back. I inform them to read the item description again, send the lamp back and I'll send them another. Of course, they have to pay the return shipping. In the dozen or more refund complaints, I've only had 2 sent back. Most of the time I never hear from the buyer again.

New windshield for old Bass Tracker
Custom mold and tint have been making windshields for most of the major boat manufacturers for years. I always suggest them as the first place to look. They got every windshield they've made for boat models on file. Even if they don't have the mold anymore you can send them your old WS and they'll make a new one.

E-bay a sellers market
Here's the answer why. I am a FULL TIME EBAY SELLER. This is all I do for a living and have been doing it for a long time. I know all the ins and outs of Ebay. About a year ago Ebay decided that is was going to become more BUYER friendly. They were listening to the buyers that were in the minority mind you, that we having bad experiences. This number is very small but Ebay is a very greedy business and again only looking out for their buyers. Dont misunderstand me, buyer protection is extremly important but sellers need protection as well. In their infinite wisdom they chaged many of the policies that protected the SELLER. Issues like sellers getting taken on a sale where they buyer never pays and the seller cant leave a negitive feedback for the buyer, come on. A buyer can hold a seller hostage and demand partial refunds etc and the seller has no recourse. Lets say you get a reel and theres a few scratches on it and the seller said it has some minor deck rash. You dont think thats the case. You can now email the seller and say this has more than minor deck rash, give me 20 dollars back or Im leaving you a negitive. What can the seller do? Report the buyer? Ha thats a joke. Ive done it and nothing happens. A seller not being able to leave any negitive feedback is crazy. I understand that some sellers leave retaliation feedbacks but there are ways to control that. While I do agree that there are some crooked sellers on Ebay 95% are honest Ebay sellers that stand behind everything they sell. Its a small 5% that dont. When a buyer sees something he likes the key is to only but from a proven seller like myself. I have almost 3000 positives and a few negitives that I even tried to make the buyer happy but you cant please everyone. Sellers got tired of this kind of thing happening to them. PLUS the fact that Ebays fees have skyrocketed SO high its crazy. They now MAKE both buyers and SELLERS use Paypal. No more moneyorders or checks. Do you know why? Because they BOUGHT PAYPAL! By the time I list my item and get my payment from Payapl I'm spending almost 20%! you may think thats cheap but now add in the cost that I spent on the item, usually 50% of the final sale price and Im making 30%! Take out my time to list it etc and my profits about 15%! Thats nuts! While I still like alot about Ebay as do many sellers, some dont and are finding other ways to sell their items. Ebid, Ubid, Craigslist and a whole host of other sites are far more cheaper. The "Bad Economy" excuse is not it for the most part. If things are bad theres going to be MORE for sale. People are trying to sell MORE stuff to make some extra money. Its Ebays own doing that has cause this. I am already selling on other auction sites and these sites are growing every day.Im hopeing by next year to be done with Ebay. Buyer protection is important but people like me who sell on Ebay for a living need protection too and were just not getting it. The bottom line is the decline is items listed for sale is because there are less sellers because Ebay has chased them away. Polls have been taken to back this up. my mistake economy reference was to the number of buyers, not sellers. AS for the rest of your rant on Ebay. The inability to give bad buyers a negative feedback wasn't a good idea IMO. I have on a couple occasions been more persistant in getting paid after a sale if I knew ahead of time, via a buyers past feedback, that he/she was a slow payer or needed to be threatened. Paypal is who I have my dispute with. i've never won a single outcome despite the fact that most of the disputes I got were answered via my item description in the original listing. In reality, there are few if any protections for sellers on ebay, the buyer is in complete control which is why I've always wondered why people were leary of buying from there. Checks or money orders? Yes, I did that for awhile. It wasn't worth it. The amount of time it was taking buyers to come up with a M/O, mail it and then await for snail mail delivery wasn't worth it to me. Plus, I had fewer bidders.

If any of you work with saws,
Of course, they went through many prototypes before they figured out how to make it work right.

E-bay a sellers market
They've also got Team All Star Big Boys at $70. I added a 7'2" Med/Hvy I've had my eye on as well as a Classic GT2 crankbait rod.

E-bay a sellers market
I've noticed the past year that much of the stuff I've sold had fewer bidders/watchers and the overall selling prices have dropped. Blame it on a slowing economy. I will say Ebay has been doing what they can by cutting the upfront listing fees often.

Stratos 186xt
Just remember on the 4 strokes. Yes they're really quiet, very smooth when idling and a little better on gas but they weigh more and there's more routine maintenance that must be done on them, often by the dealer, in order to maintain the warranty on the engine. That = higher operating expenses.

Who is a member of bassmaster's?
Harry and Charlie are gone? Maybe Don Wirth got tired of writing them. He had been doing the stories for over 34 years. He probably ran out of ideas. Cliff Shelby used to do the artistry. I got a Harry n Charlie hat a number of years ago for contributing a tip to the bargain anglers tip section. You used to get a H & C hat for a tip that made it to print.

Who is a member of bassmaster's?
"Did" more for this sport than any other organization. I joined in 1974. It was a very worthy organization. Now the magazine and organization is a necessary evil in order for ESPN to run the televised tournaments under the BASS moniker. When BASS started treating the Federation ranks like gum on the bottom of their shoes, it was obvious they had no intention of continuing to lead in worthy conservation efforts nationwide since many of those projects were due to the hard work of the Federation membership. I dropped my membership a couple years ago. The magazine is merely rehashed hash that's been repeated over and over.

big fish of the year pics post them up!!
I've got a shot of my 6lb9oz I caught on 4/25 on my camera phone but I'm not paying $5 a month to Sprint for the rights to upload it. Trust me though, it's actually only a sliver of the fish. It was my first attempt at using my camera phone. It should be entered as an Avid hall of fame shot. ;D

Caring for trolling motor during cold weather
The trolling motor will be fine. If you have a removable mount for it then by all means take it inside. More for theft prevention than anything. I've always pulled my batteries for winter storage. It was just easier to keep them charged when they were in the garage vs the boat.

The best part about Dave is he keeps dragging their side down without us older, more experienced guys having to waste a single keystroke. Thanks Dave.

Stratos 186xt
The V150TLR is a VMax engine. Carburated. Very good reliable motor with an outstanding track record. Very stout engine. The F150 is a 4 stroke. As with any Yamaha, it's a good engine. If a 4 stroke is your cup of tea you can't go wrong.

Chili time.....
Technically, true chili has no beans in it. When you add beans the mixture becomes Chili-con-Carne.

outboard manual
Clymer manuals are pretty darn good. You might want to look on Amazon.com or ebay for them.
