Something like that would work and easy enough to fabricate a swivel bracket for. LED is lower power consumption. But I’d need a 12 volt DC. That’s AC. Yes Sir! Thank You! That would work out perfect. The round flat plate mounting and bracket you could articulate that in any direction.

Very low salinity where I’m at in the bay. But I’m sure some of the Maryland and Virginia guys on here are true brackish experts and are on it all season. Long day and overnighters to get deeper into the bay. Fishing tidal Delaware River is a nice day trip. And when I do go I try to pay attention to the tide tables. That’s big water for me when I go to those areas. That’s a whole different game of fishing then the norm to me. I just try to keep safety in the back of my head.

In Tidal I have to work at it. It’s not my home waters. Just try to take a common sense approach. Structure fish. Wish I knew more about it. Some of What I’ve caught were nice fish. But I like to catch a nice 6 or 7 pounder in it. Keeps me going back. Would like to catch a snakehead also in that tidal so I can get that out of my system.

Guys I have no new fishing wants going into this season. I’m ready to pick up where I left off in the fall. Could use a few couple and triple spares on a few crankbaits but half of what I want is not in stock. Anyway. I’m tired of using a hand held spotlight for when I get caught up into dark or get out extremely early in the morning. I’ve been tired of that hand held for the last ten years or more. Been somewhat eying up that remote GoBee for the last couple of seasons. A bit steep in price. I’m pretty sure I can can somehow get a discount or price reduction if I work it right. Should work out well for how I’d be using it. Any users of one that like it, dislike it, any opinions appreciated. I can most likely get creative and make something. Or make an aluminum bracket mount and fix up another style of light to it. Maybe mount it right off my windshield. Any comments are appreciated if you are using one or something similar. I’m not interested in what state laws say or don’t say about them. I just want some hands free light. Safety first. Waterway Laws second.

Did see a nice herring pattern. Be a while yet before my season starts but will most likely start the season off in tidal water.

Stopped at Tackle Shop after work yesterday to see if owner could set me up with bulk spools of line like he uses there. He had out one heck of a display board with new Saltwater Gulp stuff out he just hung. Was just curious if anyone uses or used Gulp Saltwater in Freshwater. A couple patterns caught my eye for swim baits or trailers. Thanks.

I fish jigs on the lighter side. Primarily black or brown for the jig itself but trailers are blues, pumpkinseed, green pumpkin, blue flecks, orange/brown, black, Bama bug. Some times my trailers are a cut off piece of a Zoom 4” Curley tail or U tail worm. I trailer my buzzbaits with those worms also. I throw buzzbaits on the lighter side also. Admittedly I don’t know how to fish real heavy in the full scheme of things.

Way back in the early ‘80’s I bought a Daiwa SS Tournament. Has the feature for easy bail trip. Still used my hand. Still own two of those reels. One I did the upgrade to. Was pretty easy. Still use them now and again. River Smallie Reels.

I know it comes naturally for me to do it that way. No thinking or forethought. I’m sure many guys do it that way. Probably more than not.

I’ve only fished a few seasons with some of the Curve 55 and the Crush 50X. My pattern choices have been working out well. I can’t find them on a local scale to purchase or see them. Have to mail order. But in a way I don’t see that as a bad thing.

Hop it, Pop it, Swim it, Shakey Head it, Slide it, you really can’t fish it wrong. You have CB Slider attached to your post but there are countless others out there that fish the same. The types of jig heads Charlie had available is the Slider behind Slider.

It’s a real shame that Bandit Lures is not what it use to be. When they sold off years ago I lost my factory contact and their place in crankbaits deminished. They were a USA ?? company. Availability, patterns and hook quality for sure took a nose dive. I'm fortunate to have vintage and special run colors from that era. I don’t believe I own a Bandit that I have not caught a river smallie on. But if you can find the Spring Craw Yellow or Chartreuse Gray Craw I find these two yellows very productive.

Old school, I’m old school. This is a great way and is a very productive basic fishing. I still use CB stuff also. Slider Weedless Rigs w/4” worms. Perfect river worm rig. Black, Black w/ chart. Tail and Pumpkin Seed are the colors I fish the most. The Slider Grubs 3” w/ mini boot tail are another old design that works well. You don’t see their stuff around much these days. I hope they are still in business.

I have not let up throwing that in Bombers and Bandits. Both great river Smallie baits. I would lean toward the yellow working a bit better.

I can only speak or give opinions on the Veritas Medium power, Moderate Action “Winch” rods. I’m more than satisfied with them. Only crankbait fishing with them. For this upcoming I’m gonna get the spinning version of the “Winch”. But I’m looking for softer tip rods.

Shad natural colors, chrome versions and firetiger. I don’t truly fish for muskies but they like the firetiger as much as the Smallies some days.

I fish a lot of soft plastics like y’all. My productive patterns I’m sure fall right in line with what you guys are using. But over the years I’ve struggled big time with the colors Red Shad and a blue that is similar to an electric blue. No confidence built what so ever in them. I gave them an honest effort at one time. Felt I was wasting my time. I’m not sure how important color is. I would normally say not that important but maybe it is. Confidence? Between the shoulder problem? I’m sure even the pros have confidence issue with some patterns and stay away from them.

In a hard bait they are not my first to have tied on but in the Bomber and Bandits they’ve proven to be pretty effective. Rapala bass has been productive over the years also. Bomber has or did have a nice selection of bass variations.

Should work for you. Worth having in the boat. Mine is a BPS that I think it was called a “hound”. Knocker w/ some chain to it. Hope you don’t get hung up, hope it works out.

I have grandsons that I have involved now. Bass fishing with lures and learning how to use them. Glad they like it. It’s fun. When I pass they will never need anything for bass fishing. My stuff has to go somewhere. Want them to have it.

I'm a river rat. Tubes are a big part of my fishing. Case tube have always been a favorite. When I heard the color Road Kill Camo way back when I had to try it. Turned out to be pretty popular with PA river guys. The claim was that Road Kill Camo was a mixture or all the baits or the scraps of other baits made that color.

I remember in an old post of his about fishing when you reach the other side or something along those lines. I promised to search him down to go with him. I’m hoping they are all big’uns or seem like they are all big'uns over on that side.

Nice post. Every color of the TRD Craws I’ve tried has been productive. Toward the end of the season I picked it up in BubbleGut and with no surprise I caught fish with it. While the Z-Man craws are not my favorite, they are productive. They have a bigger version of them but I have not seen them. Local. I’d like to fish a bigger version.

Majority of my first of the year river bass have come off a Rat-L-Trap or a tube. It/they are tied on all season.
