  1. Good job! You did fantastic. Merry Christmas to yourself!!! Be sure to ALWAYS wear your PFD when in the boat.
  2. When asking about baits, rods, reels, techniques, water clarity, seasons, name brands, etc., may I suggest using the "search key" in the upper right hand corner? You can obtain a lot of information from past posts which will not only expand your knowledge base but help you ask better questions so we can give you better replies. So for everyone asking about Chatterbaits, please "search" for Chatterbaits and see the other posts discussing Chatterbaits. Just a suggestion.
  3. Crisd, We need more info on the body of water you are fishing. With a light Chatterbait, you will need to use a low test line, like 4 or 6 pound fluoro line. And you can fish it on a spinning rig. Fish it like a jig or a Texas rigged plastic or just throw it out and reel it back. Hit everything you can with it. Fish it slow, fast, stop-go, yo-yo, etc. Blue/Black can work but if you give us the water you fish, its clarity, temperature and if you are fishing from shore or a boat we can give you better responses.

It is super to have another lady on board. Read, read and read some more. And keep asking those questions.
  5. Fishingismylife, Please let me explain a few things even though Roadwarrior has hit the nail on the head. We are here to help you. Of course, there are people who will take your query and reply in an inappropriate manner, but 99% of the time you will receive good advice and suggestions. When we address your concerns in the Fishing Resumes section, we are brutal to allow you to have our negative comments BEFORE you go public. A number of us own our own businesses and we will let you know if your information gets our attention in a positive manner. It is like practice for sporting events. Practices can be brutal and harder than the games. All we want to do is to help you improve yourself so you can get sponsors and fish as many tournaments as you can. So when you think we are being nasty, take a step back and look at yourself as we are looking at you. Take our advice in a positive manner, even if we blow you out of the water due to your poor grammar, poor English or not presenting yourself in the best possible light. Keep asking and posting and read, read and read!!!
  6. BossierBassHunter, No, you do not have to defend Louisiana. Shreveport - yes. But not Louisiana!!!!! ;D

Catt, That's terrible. I am so sorry for everyone involved and their families. Prayers sent.
  8. Beautiful stripers. You all did great! VMI! A VMI cap? And you skipped your last class, which was probably photography. You don't wear a VMI cap after skipping class. You can wear a Virginia Tech, UVA, JMU, Richmond, Radford or ECU cap after skipping class, but not the VMI spider. It is even acceptable and expected to wear an LSU cap after skipping class. But that is only good if you head to the French Quarter, catch some strippers and have a wild time. But not --- like never--- a VMI cap after skipping class. Bad karma and that is probably why the waves were really high and you all only caught two. So get yourself a UVA or Tech cap and skip as many classes as you wish and then catch a lot of citation stripers and bass.
  9. Glad you came back. Burley changes his name every week so you are in good company.
  10. Great you are with us. I have been to Dayton and the NFL Hall of Fame down in Canton. Great trips and the people were very nice. Ask your questions and we will do our best to answer them.
  11. Yes Long Mike, there is a tanslation. I have no idea what it is but there is a translation.
  12. X2 Waiting for my Cabella's, BPS and Barlows catalogs to arrive. I can see the Bait Monkey sitting in the big oak tree in my front yard.
  13. The proper etiquite for these types of parties is to take your hand and put it down the front of your pants, scratch real hard, remove your hand, and select something to eat. That would have really have turned everyone on.
  14. RC 1.5 in Ghost Minnow. Anything Foxy or Sexy Shad. High quality 12-inch needle nose pliers. Weedless hooks. Rubber net to avoid getting hooks stuck in the webbing. New Ranger 23-foot bass boat with a 250 HP Merc. Ford F-150 truck to pull you new boat and trailer. Big garage to store your boat and truck and have enough room to store your gear and have a tackle workshop. New house with enough room to put the garage. Other than these things, I can't think of anything else. ;D ;D ;D
  15. Andrew. You live in Michigan. It is December, heading into January. Snow. Ice. Sleet. Hazardous roads. Slippery sidewalks. Shoveling snow. Throwing salt to melt ice. Scraping off windshields. Digging car out of four-foot snow drifts. Plowing driveways. Plowing the street and leaving a three-foot snow bank in the entrance to your driveway. Sledding. Ice skating. Skiing. Ice sculptures. Snowmen. Oil deliveries. Coal. Wood stoves. Hauling dirty and snowy wood inside house. Cleaning boots when coming inside. Wearing heavy clothes. And gloves. And scarves. And head covers. And Boots with heavy wool socks. Heavy sweaters. Hot chocolate. Seeing your breath when you go outside. Having glasses fog. Running car to warm it up before you drive away. Watching another bowl season without the Michigan Wolverines. Yes Andrew, it is time to hang 'em up. Just like when football season ended in high school. Hang 'em up for the season and let 'em air out. Get some good fishing books and read them. Get some good DVDs or CDs and watch them. Organize your tackle. Clean your rods. Clean your reels. Make plans for 2009. Keep posting questions on the Fourm and read all you can on the Fourm, both in the posts and the articles. Dream about the "big ones" that are riding out the winter and will be ready to spawn in June or July when the water reaches a bearable temperature. Sorry Andrew, but it is time to hang em' up. ;D
  16. Don't forget the conrete pond up the road on Shenandoah University's campus. Get one of the DGIF fishing phamphlets and they list all the places to fish in your area. You can get them at Wal-Mart when they come out later this month or in January. You all make plans to attend the Richmond Fishing Expo, too. Sorry about the Dukes biteing the Bit Willy but at least those Richmond Spiders made it to the big show this weekend. But I always pull for the team wearing the purple and gold.
  17. Please consider coming to Richmond on January 16, 17 or 18 for the Richmond Fishing Expo. I know it is not fun flea market but it is the best we are going to get in this neck of the woods. Look under the Southeastern Fishing section in the top "Important Items" for the time we all will be meeting on Saturday, January 17th. Hope you guys can make it.
  18. The biggest Ponzi scheme in the history of the world is Social Security.
  19. I am sure your state department of game and fisheries or your county's game warden can tell you what it is if you contact them. Then, please let us know.
  20. Thanks and back to you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ;D ;D ;D

Watched the first half. Sorry JMU bit the dust. Very entertaining game. And all of these players can read, write and speak the King's English. They also go on to get that degree and not play for three years and go pro for the money. I hope the Spiders can win today so we will have at least one Virginia team in the championship game.
  22. Drill bits. You cannot have too many drill bits. Long ones. Short ones. Ones in between. Wide ones. Skinny ones. All types. Drill bits. Burley, you need more drill bits.
  23. Hey Dave, Games are fun but making new tackle is better. Created any new swimbaits, lately? And Bassboy15, are you practicing your dribble and passing skills? And how come you are not in bed? You need your beauty sleep and rest for the next "big game" coming up, soon.
  24. In this day and age when people get offended over small stuff, it is easier to have your employees say "Happy Holidays" in order not to offend anyone. Its about money for retailers, municipal, educational and service organizations. Regarding regular people doing their own thing, they can say whatever they wish. If one wants to aviod offending anyone this is the easy way out for those who want to go along with the flow and not create a bad situation when confronting crazy people. I know many Jewish people who say Merry Christmas and they are not offended. After all, Jesus was Jewish. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
