No, never gave it any thought. Storage of your line is very important. I store my line in my "man cave" at home, out of the sun, heat and cold. The KVD Lure and Line Conditioner suggestion is a must. Please start using this product and you will have fewer backlashes and twirls. If it is to expensive, to with Reel Magic. I would not worry about the sun. I would worry more about nicks and scrapes on the line which will weaken your line and also to check your knots and retie after catching two or three fish. Merry Christmas

May I suggest sitting down, or while driving, and think of the places you will be fishing. Go check out a number of boats and styles. Then think safety and stability. Not power or speed or how pretty the boat looks. But safety and stability and the safety features on the boat, like a ladder. Then think "fishing platforms" both in the front and rear of the boat. Let your mind go free and the answer will arrive. Then, have a compression check on the motor and invest some funds into having a boat service center check out the wiring, hull, carpet, steering, lights, well motor, bilge pump, etc. Just keep safety in the forefront of your decision. With a one piece rod you do not have to worry about casting the front half with your bait when you forget to keep snugging the two rod parts together. With a two piece rod you can take it down and travel with it, easily. So if you travel and do not mind having people look at you like you are one big dummy when the front half of the rod joins your bait in the wild blue yonder, then go with a two piece rod. ;D

With the media sounding negative announcements about our economy, it is normal and expected for everyone to be concerned about their careers. However, many geographical locations are doing fine and will continue to do so. Michigan is and will be a problem until they get their taxes lowered. The University of Richmond Spiders won their first ever National Championship in any sport this weekend with a 24-7 victory over Montana in the Division II National Championship game. Living in Richmond and attending their football and basketball games is a pleasure. You feel safe on campus and it is a fun time in the stands and bleachers. Congrats to UR for their achievement. And now UR and Virginia Tech have one thing in common: One National Championship each. UR in football and Tech in the shot put.

Fish your Senkos "wacky style" and watch your line. Switch baits based on how you are catching fish, not time. Just go with your gut feelings. And do yourself a favor and read, read and read some more the topics at the top of the page. Great information and you will be throwing all types of baits and using different techniques very fast. Wacky is great for a Senko. If you want to use the Senko for a long time, go to Wendy's or Hardee's and get their LARGE STRAWS and cut them into 1/4 inch sections and slide the worm through them. Then, slide your hook between the plastic straw and the worm. Or, get some 3/8-inch electric shrink tape and do the same. But you will have to heat the tape to get it to shrink onto the Senko. Fish your Senkos wacky style and watch your line. Have fun.

Hey Fishing Boy. So from what I can understand from your query is this: "Senkos, jigs and flukes are my favorite baits to use in the summer time in my pond. But at certain times I don not know what to use because I feel if I put one down then the fish may start hitting it so do you think you have any tips for me, please?" Tips? Maybe a few. Just keep throwing the Senko, weightless, Texas and Wacky rigged. Fish the jig along with a trailer (pig) as you would your Senko. You may also want to rip the jig a few times off the bottom. As for the fluke, fish it like a dieing shad. Other suggestions? Yes. 1. Throw an *** or Zoom worm on a shaky head or a Texas rig. 2. Try topwaters early in the AM or late in the PM, like a Cavitron buzzbait. 3. Throw out a Rat-L-Trap. Chrome with blue or black back. 4. Got any Bandit 200s? Give these a try. Shad patterns. Just a few tips so you can expand your techniques and baits in your arsenal. Please read the posts on this site about the different bait and techniques, etc. Go to a few of your favorite Pro's web sites and check out their suggestions.
