About time you came back. So you like the Carrot Stick? I have seen them but never picked one up. May do so later this week when I go to Hookers in Toano, VA and they are on sale. Thanks for the input. Looking forward to more of your posts.

I have been quiet long enough!
Hey Robby, If nothing else, the Steelers should win their game coming up tonight. I understand your pain and am sorry this is happening to you. Maybe it is a test for you and your nerves? Anyway, enjoy the game.

Another PFD reminder!
CJ, I am so sorry for you and your family. We think that nothing will happen to us on the water. How far from the truth is that? Thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Jay Yelas moves to Ranger
Hum....wonder what happened between him and Skeeter? Money? Skeeter pulling back from sponsoring the pros? Ranger really needs Yelas and made him a very attractive offer? Inquisitive minds would like to know. Maybe I will ask KVD or Alton Jones or some of the other pros at the Richmond Fishing Expo this weekend, if I can remember. Thanks for the update. Having Yelas pimp for Skeeter gives that manufacturer lots of credibility and losing him can make for some interesting discussion.

21st bday
Happy Birthday. Now it is time to grow up. Sorry, but as you get older the fun and games aren't fun anymore. So what are you going to do with the rest of your adult life other than fish ???

Strike King, Sexy Shad Color Baits?
To give you a direct answer to your query...yes. Try the Foxy Shad as suggested above, too.

Rat-L-Traps: Quality Control Problems? (response from RatLTrap)
Nope, never encountered any problems with the Rats. I would think that a phone call to Louisiana would produce some very good results as I know those people want their product to be the best. I will now have to double check all of my Rats for problems. Micro, thanks for the information. This is why we post and then discuss situations so everyone can be come more knowledgeable.

Met KVD Himself yesterday!
I met him at one of the old Bassmaster University presentations in Richmond. What a gentleman and professiional guy. Now, DON'T WASH YOUR HAND. The one that you used to shake his hand. DON'T WASH IT FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. ;D ;D ;D

Wacky Worm
I use weedless hooks and they work fine. Usually 1/0 or 2/0 work perfectly. I also throw the Wacky rig into lots of cover and structure and the weedless hooks perform as expected. Just my two cents.

dropshot
*** plastic worms. I also want to try the new Gulp! Nuclear Nelly baits. Ike mentioned them in an article early last year or late in 2007 and I have never been able to find them. Now, as I can surmise, Ike was using them before they were released for public consumption, and he mentioned them as one of his favorite drop shot baits in the article. I have been looking for them, but no luck so far. I will continue to look at the local stores and if they are not in by this summer I will go online and order them. They should work very well on a drop shot presentation. Just food for thought.

Titans vs Ravens
That was the hardest hitting football game I have seen. Sorry the Titans lost. Great game. Now to see how far the Ravens can go.

What Roadwarrior said X2. But those Lucky Crafts are really very nice. So save your pennies and dimes and treat yourself for your birthday, anniversary, graduation, Christmas or the wonderful "Fishing Day in America" and get at least one. You will not regret it.

Ultralight fishing?
There is a pond near my house, about a mile as the crow files, that is loaded with dinks. I catch them one after the other after the other with my ultralight rig. Lots of fun, too. Caught a 5 pounder on the rig, which really surprised me. I have not been able to catch her again. Also throw 1/4 ounce Rat-L-Traps and trick worms. They love the pink trick worms. Otherwise, I use my ultralight for bream, bluegill and crappie.

Brett Favre
Tired of Brett Favre. Let him go out in style and not try to hang on for another year. He has a great legacy with the Packers so it is time for him not to follow in the footsteps of other NFL players whose days are over and try their luck with one more sorry team. Goodbye Brett, we will miss you.

Help Please! I have rod and reel ADD, need help matching up right combos.
Here are some tips for starters: 1. Check the reel's specs. 2. Check the rod's specs. 3. Consider the lure's weight that you will be throwing. Then go from there, balancing the rod with the reel, making sure all is within their paramaters for the rod and reel. Long casts = long rods. Flipping & Pitching = long rods. Skipping Plastics = 6'6" rods. And so on.... So check out the specs and match them up accordingly and have some fun.
