Curado 50E for me as well. Just palms better for me compared to my 200E7. I bought a few Core's (both 50 and 100) which I won't be able to fish until spring so my opinion might change when that happens.

I had the same issue with TW during the Black Friday sale. I live in Canada and I wanted to order $55 worth of baits and send them to my friends in Oklahoma. As I am going to go visit them in April/May, I thought I would save on shipping ($22 to ship to me) and just bring the stuff back with me. Order was cancelled and they sent an email saying if I had any questions to please call. I called and they said it was due to fraud and that they would only ship direct to me as billing and shipping would match. My first reaction was that if it was fraud then sending the order to me would make you lose more money but I am guessing that if billing and shipping matches they have some protection. There are some US retailers that just don't bother. Academy for example will not accept a credit card issued outside the US. They claim too many issues with Fraud. Dick's will accept the card but won't ship to Canada. Basspro and Cabela's have no issues. Glad you were able to use Amazon and get what you needed.

I would be interested in knowing how you make out with LES. It doesn't surprise me of the color "mistake" or change. It wasn't long ago someone had posted the color change for the current french pearl RCSTX. Hope you get some good answers from them.

Yeah that is where I was going. Can get the 3 parts needed from Shimano for roughly $22.72 or can buy the kit from tackle trap that comes with carbon tex drag washers for $32.99.

Which Curado's do you have? E series?

I have a super spook jr. that has developed a crack just above the line tie. I am thinking on trying to repair it but not sure if I should just use crazy glue or devcon 2 ton epoxy. Any advice would be great.

For me it's topwater. I would just rather catch fish on topwater than any other method. Whether it's a super spook jr. or buzzbait there is just no bigger thrill for me. Having said that, the fish don't always co-operate and when that happens I fall back on soft plastics. Dingers and flukes mostly.

What a coincidence...I stopped by my local used book store and found a hard copy of Ken Schultz's Bass Madness: Bigmouths, Big Money and Big Dreams at the Bassmaster Classic. Should be a good read.

My old Shimano Bantam BeastMaster 2-speed from the late 80's.

I paid $91.58 for each 100mg and a 50mg7. I certainly wouldn't be able to afford them otherwise so buying a Metanium to compare of out of the question sadly. My only other 3 reels are 2 50E's and a 200e7, so 4 reels in the 6.2 - 6.4 ratio. This is what is prompting me to think about a speed upgrade. The guy at the shop said they brought in the shimano reels in 2012 so they have been sitting on the shelf at the shop since then. No clue if the lubricants break down in that amount of time or not. I spoke to DVT a few weeks ago in regards to having him clean, tune and install the gear set and drag but the red tape and cost of shipping from Canada is a nightmare so not sure what I will do. Doubt I can do it myself. May I ask why you don't have the 100mg7 any longer?
