  1. Well jigs, tubes, and jerkbaits are a few. More info about the water you are fishing would help.

  3. Well would you like something to help tide you over? :
  4. Man Kent, regardless of the outcome it was a great read. Well you can look at what might have been but I would try not to think about it. We live and learn. Next time, and there will be a next time, you'll be ready. This may be the year! Chris
  5. WOW!!! Way to stick em' Bud!
  6. I believe it will pending on the mindset of the person trying to become a better angler. As Sam mentioned, an angler will get exposed to different techniques. First hand experience is the best. Some the best learning experiences I have had weren't during a tournament. There can be a lot of stress that can hinder learning on tournament days. They were on days fishing with anglers I met through tournament fishing or some of the guys here on Bass Resource. Everybody has something they can teach you if you are willing to let them.
  7. Congrats to the Phillies! Way to represent the NL! Brad Lidge finally got his redemption. I'm proud for him. CJ

Looks like ya'll guys had some fun!
  15. Nice replies. I got to add a spinnerbait. There are always going to be situations that will dictate what works best for that given day. Topwaters are great on cloudy days but on my home lake, this time of year, the big girls like to belly down on the bottom on cloudy days for some reason. I like to slow roll a spinnerbait on the edges, rippin' it through what it hits.
  16. Way to go Dave! I'm glad you're part of the family! CJ
  17. Way to go Keri! I bet you enjoyed the experience. Chris
  18. Sure! Come on over Blaine! You can stay till April! ;D CJ
  19. RW, the topwater bite might be fair or I won't say that it won't work. From past experience I would be thinking more in terms of t-rig, jigs, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, shallow running crankbaits, lipless cranks, well let's just say that alot of lures have produced this time of year. Here's a hint: the first season of Ultimate Match Fishing was fished on KENTUCKY Lake this time of year...oh yeah and Barkley too!
  20. I'm not an expert either Mike. The weather and lake elevations will dictate what phase a majority of the bass will be doing. Regardless you will be able to access very good fishing and should find fish in all stages. You are correct, the south end of the lake warms up first. The current flows from south to north.
  21. That used to be one of my favs. That album rocked!
  22. Watchin' Airplanes-Gary Allen
  23. He'll put it on his finger. I would wish him luck but this young man doesn't need luck. He's got this! Like Gene and Russ said, all you have to do is go fishin'. CJ
  24. Man I hate to hear that.
