THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008
What is Ryan Franklin on?!? I don't know what pitch he was TRYING to throw but he needs to stick with what he knows whether it be good or ...well pathetic. It is killin' me to see quality starting pitching getting flushed away by the bullpen and lack of run support. >

THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008
Ohhhh... you mean there really is such a thing. Maybe somebody could start a "The Super Bowl is in sight" thread! For my WS picks. It would be blasphemus for me to pick that one team. :-X I'll take the Angels and Cards. It's rare for the two best teams (on paper) to make it to the fall classic.

What water do you fish?
Yep, I fish a really big river reservoir.

I must be confused

THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008
Muddy, Gone Phishin and you won the bet I made with ya. It may take me a little bit but I'm gonna pay up. The Cards are dead. There's no way they can compete with what the Cubs and Brewers are doing. They should have sold out before the deadline. Lohse would have brung a nice price. He'll be gone for a big contract next year. We could have gotten a top prospect for him. I do feel that next year the Cards are going to have a great club. They'll have plenty of money to spend and they're getting a great deal for their outfield. A lot of it will depend on Carpenter's health. The owners realize they have the greatest player in the game and the time is now!

You got me Muddy. Lohse didn't have it today. The Cards are a wreck and whether Tony wants to admit it or not, it's the bullpen. I wish they would throw in the towel and sell out! Trade Lohse, Ryan, and few more for prospects and start rebuilding. So what model Muddy? :-[ LOL

That's why he must be the greatest! Puhols has a 5 hit game but, Schumaker has a rare 6 hit game. Wonder when the last time that happened? I ain't going shopping yet! ;D

If the Cards don't move on some help with the bullpen he can forget the playoffs.

Who influenced the way you fish?
Alot of different guys pointed me in the right direction but, it is the fish that talk to me the most.

Bass Elites vs. FLW
JR Howard makes a good point. So what makes a pro a "better" angler? The most tournament wins? But how many did he have to beat? How can you compare 100 to 200? The bottom line is they are all good at what they do. The best one is the one everybody likes the most.

Make the Elite Series Elite
Very good points.

Elites ditch Florida
Ky. Lake needs a break too. :

Who here is on a "quest" for that one fish?
First off it's probably a she, not a he. I lost a big momma one spring about 5 years ago. I go back to that spawning area every year to try her but it seems I've wasted my time. What you may have found is a good area though. It may not be the same fish but, you may have found an area that is holding some quality fish. Lose the mindset that you are after just her and go fish the area like you would any other time. Sounds like a topwater might work? I think I would keep throwing that crankbait too and never forget the plastics.
-
How would you fish this?
I suppose those are largemouth? If you caught them 3 different ways, sounds like you did good. Anyway, if that came up on my graph, first thing I would throw would be a jig. I would hop it high off the bottom, looking for them to bite it on the fall. Next I would drag a t-rig or c-rig with a 10-12 in. worm. Then I would throw a LC D-20 to em'. I'm gonna guess you caught em' on a spoon, jig, and drop shot?

"Mental Tournaments"...Does anyone else do this?? How do you practice????
I guess I do but, I guess my mindset is a little different than yours. When I'm out I'm always in the hunt for the best pattern I can put together. I'm looking for that one "thing" or things that puts me on the fish. It may take me a couple trips to figure them out. If that first trip doesn't produce what I'm looking for hopefully it atleast gave me a clue. When I pre-fish I am trying to let the fish talk to me. This is when I really start thinking. Even if I have a productive day, I'm wondering where a back up pattern might be or how could it have been more productive. My most important goal is to find as many spots holding fish as I can and how to catch them. I guess you are talking about setting goals. Always a good thing! Sorry if I got off beat. CJ
