  1. Put some cover in it.Just go out there at night and sink some branches out off the bank! :

  3. That's gotta be a joke.
  4. I was asking about pscarbor making 10,000 cast and never catching a fish on a spinnerbait. Spinners have their time and place. The time is now,and the place is at the lake, river,or pond!LOL Don't throw away all of your spinnerbaits. There's alot of tips that could help you. 1.fish them through the brush 2.try to find the best blade combos and skirt color 3.you need some wind
  5. I would say try a presentation on bottom like a grub or tube.Drag them slow. When you think you are dragging them slow, slow down some more.During winter I caught fish on a 3 1/2 tube on bottom. It would take me 2-3 min. to get one cast in.Then I would try a hard jerkbait.I start out with 1 long sweep and then pause for atleast 5-10 seconds. These presentations may work, but location going to be a big factor as well.
  6. I think the current WR is legit.I'm with Avid and Cajun 1977.I think Perry's fish should be left alone and respected as the WR.
  7. Fluke, those are some tips I needed. We got grass coming back strong on our lake(they killed it out about 10 years ago).
  8. I am in the early stages of fishinf tournaments too.Right now I have only one thing on my mind,"FISH".How to find them and how to catch them!I am alittle older than you (30),but The task of learning the fish is all I can handle right now.BTW,I live on Ky Lake! CJ
  9. I don't know the water temps where you are fishing but I would try the new Rapala X-Rap XR8.I would only use this as an outlet.Plastics are probally #1 for smallies(3 1/2 tubes).

It is illegal here, but I have heard of guys using cormeal by tying it up in a burlap sack. This chums the minnows and baitfish.

    Welcome back!
  14. My personal preference, stumps in deeper water that's on top of a point, hump,or ledge. So I choose both. Really, the places I've caught big were relating to some sort of structure.
  15. It is a shame that it was foul hooked. What a pig!
  16. Now that's a surface bite!
  17. Looks like a good way to grip about a pothole. He is fishing the deep side.
  18. RW,good post! Those are the main ingredience for big bass.Do you find that there may be a paticular type of structure or cover that big fish relate to?I have found that the biggest of fish I have caught were on one or the other, rockpiles or stumps.Usually isolated or atleast not clustered.
  19. You add a rattle to your line? What kind?
  20. One thing I noticed on a Table Rock trip is that I was catching smallmouth on a smoke color tube.I was dragging it slowly on the bottom(craw pres). After catching about a 3 lber. ,it spit out a crawfish in the boat.It was a dark green w/orange claws.I was matching presentation but not color.Maybee it is because of the many different colored species of crawfish?
  21. I see Michigan on there twice.I am suprised to MA at 14.
  22. 12:30 pm 3/15/05 10 mins. and 10 days apart from KU.There could be a pattern going here. ;DLOL
