Bps Carbonlite Rods Vs. Signature Series Rods
The JM Sigs have fuji K series Guides and different blank material but the rod feels heavier than the carbonlite. The carbonlites use pac bay guides in both models. I have a micro series carbonlite and I like it a lot. Maybe buy some reg guide rods and a micro if you plan to pitch to try it. The 7ft6 heavy micro rod is as light as they come.

Florida Bass Club September Tournament
We caught a bunch of bass, peas, catfish, a baby tarpon,a water snake, snakeheads and lost a pretty big snook 2x. Nothing was of great size besides the snook which was probably about 15lbs. My best lmb bass was 2.5 which I caught on a spinnerbait and lost one a bit bigger on a senko... do not use eagle claw wacky hooks BTW, they are dull and almost a guaranteed loss of a fish.

Found Peacock...now What?
Use some live bait also. Small cichlids and shiners when they aren't biting lures. I annoy the heck out of them with small jigs I buy from Walmart. The jigs are small enough to be inhaled easily.

Help With Braid, Need A Good Knot
I love the trilene knot, saves tons of tag end in comparison to when I used the palomar and its much easier to tie IMO but for Dropshotting I use the palomar and use an extended tag to go thru the eyelet to attach the weight to (using fluro as a leader) attached with an alberto knot

Jackall Spade T.g. Jig...the 10 Dollar Jig
Jig looks nice especially some of the color schemes but I cant see myself paying 9.99 a pop for something I will probably lose easily, especially when you can get more for the same money. It is made with tungsten opposed to lead but its still a good amount for a jig at the end of the day. Anyone going to take the plunge? this is what they claim on the description: Made with Jackall’s pre-bent, “spider leg” skirting, the Jackall Spade T.G. Jig moves through the water with a full-bodied, fluffed-up action that’s unlike anything U.S. bass have ever seen. Designed with a unique spade-shaped head as well, the Jackall Spade T.G. Jig is built using high-quality tungsten, which makes it harder and more compact than lead. These properties allow the Jackall Spade T.G. Jig to have more maneuverability and more sensitivity than lead jigs of the same weight. When worked along the bottom, the Jackall Spade T.G. Jig forces trailers to stand up and deliver an irresistible presentation that is enhanced by the wild action of the “spider legs.” Equipped with a fiber weedguard, the Jackall Spade T.G. Jig delivers a highly individualized look that will have bass doing a double take before they take the bait.

South Florida
The water there is so blue/clear there, its nice when you are in the back area and you see a fish hit your bait from way down. I watched a bass come out of no where and eat a crank bait. I was amazed. I think thats the clearest water I have fished locally besides in the ocean, I actually caught my 1st pea there after about 20 years of not catching one, annoying a male with a kvd 1.5. I went back and caught a few on top water spooks(kvd sexy dawgs). Those pine needles can be a pain tho on the declines. I can note countless times of almost sliding into the water. I remember taking my girl there and she was terrified of the thought of snakes, then she saw lightning and was arguing with me to go back to the car. I think we made it to the car within 3 seconds of being soaked in monsoon rain. The last time I was there it was it was cold, there was a huge snake in the water baking in the sunshine near the shore and a goose that wanted to attack the car...wasnt a good day for fishing. I haven't been back since.

I have a 5ft daiwa combo with mono that I think was about 17 dollars if that. I use it to catch peacock bass using a small jig.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So How Much Are You Really Feeling Off The Bottom With Your Rod?
For $375 you could have bought a New Loomis NRX Rep Sample, with that you will feel everything including changes in atmospheric pressure. You can even tell what sex the fish is and what it may have eaten earlier...so Ive heard.

I notice that all the display models are missing sideplates or they are sitting on the counter right under/next to the reel. Thats one of the main complaints that I noticed online.- Pretty Mayan Cichlid
Theres a guy my friend talks to, he goes and catches buckets of cichlids before hitting the salt....cleans up. Theres an abundance of them in my dads lake now - Quantum Exo
