Tried The Ned Rig Twice
Since Sunday fishing was slow I threw a 3" Senko on a 1/16 oz Gopher mushroomhead with a # 6 jig hook and caught about 20 bass in the last hour , most were small but I did stick a few decent ones and had a 4lber jump off . I've thrown this for a few years before the publicized Ned RIG and apparently the fish didn't get the memo that it needs to be a TRD plastic . Another good one to try on a jigworm which is basically what a NED Rig is a 4" finesse worm or a Smallie Beaver by Reaction Innovations. The jig worm has been used for decades and when paired with small soft plastics usually produce numbers of fish on most occasions along with an occasional big one . Glad to see people catch fish on the Ned Rig and while I have no doubt it catches fish very well I see nothing innovative about it .

G Loomis E6X Vs Dobyns Champion
I've heard the 735 makes a killer frog rod, it's on my wish list .

G Loomis E6X Vs Dobyns Champion
I own rods by both Loomis and Dobyn's though I do not have an E6X . Dobyn's makes great rods for swimbaits, crankbaits etc as their blanks seem to have the ideal flex and power when fishing those type of baits . Regarding applications where sensitivity is important such as jig/ worm rods Dobyn's are average in my opinion . Based on what Loomis offers these days I would not get a rod by them unless you are looking at a GLX or NRX which is well past your stated price range and I mainly would consider them for jig/ worm applications . My recommendation based on what I have used would be would be a Dobyns for reaction baits and as a few have suggested go with Kistler KLX for jig/ worm rods as they are going to more sensitive than the E6X or Dobyn's Champion in my opinion . The KLX is a fantastic rod for the $ 200 price range and built in the USA which is an added plus over the Dobyns . If you sign up for Kistler's newsletter they will offer discounts on occasion for buying direct .

Fluorocarbon Line Separating Fact From Fiction
Exactly, most of those same companies that produce floro also offer mono & braid as well so they have no reason to claim to use floro and actually use something else as they can still support / promote their line sponsors with a different line type .

Fluorocarbon Line Separating Fact From Fiction
I probably won't be spooling it on until early June and then after that it will take a few outings to get a feel for it, that said I will glad to share my observations .

Fluorocarbon Line Separating Fact From Fiction
I just recently picked up 12 lb Sunline Super flourocarbon at a local tackle shop after having a few break offs ( not even at the knot ) with seaguar abrazx on my jerkbait rod. It comes in 200 yd spool for $ 14.99 which is very reasonable for this type of line and so far I have been very impressed . That said I only have had it on for about 6 outings which is a small sample size so I want to be cautious about giving it a recommendation. I've probably have landed about 60 plus fish with it with no issues so far as a couple of times the jerkbait was a key lure for me . I also picked up a spool of Gander Mountain flourocarbon in 12 lb test and the box it says it's made by Sunline, I will put that on my deep diving crank rod after we get through the spawn and move into the summer bite .I have not spooled it on yet so obviously I have no opinions other than I like that it comes in a 400 yard spool and runs $ 19.99 which is very appealing . The only thing that stinks is that my local store does not carry the 12 lb test and I had to order it online which I found to be strange that they have other brands in 12 lb test but not the housebrand ? Time will tell if this is a good deal .

Fluorocarbon Line Separating Fact From Fiction
Pretty much my take as well .It seems to work better for me as well , especially fishing bottom contact baits in 10 ' plus water . I rarely have knot failure, just lube well and pull a little slower . It seems to be a big plus when fishing jerkbaits as well , especially if you want your bait to run a little deeper . That said floro is one product where you have to be willing to spend more to get good performance, cheap floro lines always seem to disappoint and many get disillusioned and write off all floro line. It's not the best line for all applications but in my opinion it gives you an edge in certain ones . Regarding Yozuri Hybrid, I used to be a big fan. The last couple of times I was very disapointed as the line broke off easily, not sure if they changed something but I now view it as being unreliable . Regarding Floro the most impressive brand is Sunline based on my experience though Seaguar Tatsu is great stuff and my choice for a spinning rods . Tried Abrazx & Invisx and had too many break - off with both .

Ned Rig Believer
I've been fishing a 3" Senko on a Gopher mushroomhead for a few years before the Ned rig . Cast great for a small bait and it's a good way to catch numbers with an occasional 3 or 4lber . Another good one is to take the smallest size of the R.I. Beaver with a 1/16 oz mushroomhead . Maybe I should name it after myself before it catches on .

Senko Type Baits Are Off My List.
I like your posting name . I agree with you it's Yamamoto all the way for me when I need stick worms .
-
Advanced Senko Fishing
I do well pitching into openings through shallow grass with a 1/4 oz pegged tungsten sinker , it goes through very well . This is a great technique postspawn or for trying to target the female when the males are still on the beds . That's what I like most about the lure is that it is very versatile and not just a wacky rig bait .

Preferred Square Bills
Old school for me, the Lucky Craft RC line , Strike King is my second favorite and also runs a little deeper.

New G Loomis Rod
Talked to a Shimano rep this weekend and he confirmed that the GL2 is going to be phased out . Said they have to work out something with a major retailer to help them to reduce stock. He didn't get into specifics but I'm guessing you will be able to get these rods at a Clearance sale price at some point in the future .

Biffle Bug Vs Rage Structure Bug
Would love to see a smoke purple color not only in this bait but the entire Rage product line .

Xcalibur
Not happy they discontinued their crankbait style wakebait a few years back . It get's blasted fishing over shallow grass . Glad I still have a few left .

Biffle Bug Vs Rage Structure Bug
Difference is in profile which will affect fall rate etc. I tend to use the Rage Craw as a jig trailer on heavy jigs with large hooks like the hack attack jig though it's big time proven bait as a stand alone . I tend to think of the Rage Craw as a warm water bait because of it is high action bait especially when fished behind heavy sinkers/ jigs . The Structure Bug I just started fishing last summer so it's still somewhat new to me, though it was often my most productive soft plastic on many outings . I believe it has been marketed as a bait to fish on a swing jig but I have only fished at as a Slip sinker T-rig bait so far . I think of this bait as Beaver type bait with more action & vibration . This thing really vibrates for such a small compact bait . Part of the reason it is a hot bait is because it's new and the fish aren't as conditioned to it as some of the older designs out there . I wouldn't say one is better than the other but I will say both have earned a spot in my soft bait line-up .

Love the D bomb , haven't used the Baby D Bomb .

Biffle Bug Vs Rage Structure Bug
I haven't used the Biffle Bug but the Structure bug was a terrific addition to my arsenal last year , haven't had any problems hooking fish . I would typically fish it on a 7' MH Kistler KLX rod, 14 lb floro with sinker weights ranging from 1/4 oz on up with 3/8 oz being the ideal weight most of the time with a 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG Hook . This bait along with the Rage Craw are my favorite baits from the Strike King soft bait line-up, I'm very impressed and would highly recommend this bait .

My Thoughts On The Rage Cut'r Worm
I fished this bait last summer, produced some solid fish . I also fished it with a keel weighted hook which worked well .

MikeA57 is probably going to hate me as I have 3 of them . He would really freak out if he saw some of my swimbaits
