How Often Should I Re-Tie?
Run your fingers over the line and feel for abrasion. Retie when you feel its needed. I can go weeks without a retie, sometimes onlly minutes.

Okee Water Level Up Almost 2'....fishing Reports??
It was too low, now its too high. Had a tourney there Mon thru Wed, and they were soo spread out, they were hard to find. Pelican bay and the Schoal are going to be the better spots.

Slower Reel For Other Techniques
I love me some fast reels. The slowest I will fish is a 6.4, and thats what my 50's are for.

Nanofil Fraying Experience
What you need to do is throw that crap in the dumpster, and get some better line. Try some YoZuri Hybrid. Easy to cast, and strong as hell.

How Fast To Work An Area When "searching" For Fish
Electronics are not necessary. I use a good swimbait that I am confident in. Most of the time I am fishing heavy covered areas, and electronics do nothing but tell me depth of the water. Basically disect the area, fish all angles and retrieve speeds. No bites, move on.

Zoom Brush Hogs
That pretty much sums it up.

Frogs
The best way to fish them, is to be the frog. If you saw a frog trying to swim or jump across an area, what do you think it would be doing?

0-1 Lexington, Sc
Went out this morning for a bit to fish. Fished at a pond called Gibson Pond and had a small pickerel bite my frog, but nothing else other than exploring some woods. Drove over to the dam to try and throw some cranks, spooks, and spinnerbaits, and I had a huge longnose gar hit my crank. It faught pretty good, but shook himself off when I gotnit to the shore. Hopefully have better luck with Ninga tomorrow.

Skunked By Snakeheads
I have noticed that there has been less of them around lately. I think people have caught on to eating them? They will be back. You have to go during the afternoon. During the day they are on the bottom and they dont eat.

Upgrading To New Technology. Is This Possible???
I would fish those reels as well as some new ones. Those are amazing old workhorses.

Pro Qualifier Modifications/upgrades
To answer YOUR question, I am simply trying to save the OP the money that he would spend to try and do something that will make the reel perform in no noticable difference. I have owned PQ's, and have tried to modify them to cast farther/smoother, etc. It was a was a waste of money, and was nowhere close to the performance of my Shimanos. You can take it any way you want. Sure I suggest Shimano products for the reels, and if you dont like them then dont buy them. I will not loose any sleep over you not fishing a Shimano reel.

Pro Qualifier Modifications/upgrades
Save all the money that you would spend to upgrade all 5 of the PQ's and buy a Curado or Chronarch, and then you will understand why they are highly recommended.

How To Find Bass Without Electronics
Do what roadwarrior is saying about fishing structure, points, etc. The only way that you are going to be able to find the fish all the time is by fishing the body of water enough that you have everything in the water located.

Washington Declares War On Bass
I am all in on that! Maybe we can get it on a coin? lol

Chronarch D Or Core 100
Love them both, but if I had to choose, I would go with the Chronarch D.

New Stx Issue: Tight Retrieve
And this is why I dont care for these reels. My knowing that all these reels are mass produced for Abu, Fleuger, Lews, and BPS, just turns me off to buying one again. No reel has proved me better than my Shimanos.

Giant Worms.
Still use Culprit worms, tequila colored for me is the best. 5/0 straight and a 1/4oz bullet. Great for bedding monsters.
