  1. I pretty much only use the Palomar knot. I also use it with Seaguar InvizX and AbrazX and have not had a knot failure with it....knock on wood. I do moisten the heck out of it while tying it though. But after reading this thread I may give the Improved Clinch Knot a shot.
  2. Power Pro is great braid especially Super Slick
  3. Very nice looking....hope Chris makes it available soon.
  4. I use both and have no problems with either one. I use InvizX for light cover and AbrazX for moderate cover.
  5. Tackle Warehouse Memorial sale will be starting pretty quick. Maybe another *** rod....
  6. All the beaver baits are great. I have also been having good success lately with Tight Lines UV Beaver in Blood color.
  7. I have the 7' 3" MH/F rod and it is a great rod. It should handle the techniques you are considering very well. I use mine mainly for T-Rigs and Jigs
  8. Very nice looking new Jeep. You will enjoy it for a long time.
  9. Do you cut them down any or leave them full size? Have you tried the Little Dipper?
  10. I have used it on bait casting and spinning setups and had no problems with it. Great line and I really like the camo pattern. Fished with it in clear water also and never had and problems with getting my share of fish.
  11. Does it have a aluminum or graphite frame? If its graphite then the reel is defective and I would return it. If you used your rewards card they can pull it up and they are pretty good about exchanging things when it is their own product.
  12. Love the line and the camo green color
  13. Those are some really good questions. Be anxious to see what kind of responses you get.
  14. Guys from Gas Monkey would drool all over that...... Beautiful find and definitely keep in contact with him, that is a Diamond in the Rough if I have ever seen one.
  15. Thanks for some great tips....more options is not a bad things!!
  16. I use the Plano/Falcon spinner bait buzz bait box and have not had any problems with it. Works extremely well.
  17. Been fishing NorthStar original swim jig in 5/16oz and really like the Kinami 4 inch single tail grubs. I have been trying Rage Tail single tail grub as well as the Menace and having pretty good luck so far. Especially with the single tail grub. Been wanting to try some of the Reaction Innovations Little Dippers.
  18. I have been fishing 30lbs on my bait caster fishing swim jigs and have not had any problems with it.
  19. Soak them in acetone. Yes dry they spin faster and are noisy and wear out quicker as well.
  20. Try soaking and cleaning the stock bearings first and add a drop of bearing oil to them after they dry and see how it works. If you go the ceramic bearing route I wouldn't run them dry but that is just my opinion.
  21. I prefer 7.0:1 ratios. Just easier to reel in slack line
  22. Senko all the way. Tried others and always come back to the Senko.
  23. I use a white swim jig with a white single tail grub or a sexy shad swim jig with a white single tail grub. You can also use a twin tail grub or just about anything else you can think of. Lots of guys are having great luck with the Havoc Subwoofer bait as a jig trailer. If you want to try blue gill colors pretty much everyone makes a jig and trailer in that color. I usually use a 5/16oz in that type of cover and try and fish it on the outside edges of the grass if I can. If not then I will cast it in the grass and let it drop down into the grass and then slowly reel it back in popping the rod tip every so often as it comes back thru the grass.
