  1. The original swim jig or the flip and swim jig are both great jigs. 5/16oz for the original and 3/8 or 1/2 for the flip and swim. The Knockout and Black series are also outstanding jigs. You cant go wrong with any of them. Especially with the 4th of July sale going on. For versatitlity I would go with either an original or flip and swim jig to start with.

I trim a half inch off only one side to unbalance the frog and make it easier to walk. But you do not half to do this.
  3. Pushed in is OFF and pulled out is ON
  4. If it ain't broken then don't try and fix it. I would stick with the 50lbs braid if that is working.
  5. E2 Edwin Evers.... more then likely the 2013 angler of the year. He has been on it this year.
  6. X3 cant really fish these wrong. They even make good swim jig trailers.
  7. I use these for tube fishing and I have not had any problems with my hook up ratio. The fish are usually hooked fairly well.
  8. *** *** Black in my opinion is the best rod in the $100.00 price range. They are light, sensitive, plenty of backbone, true to there ratings and a pleasure to fish all day. I have several of their rods and have not had a problem nor do I have a complaint about them either. Have caught plenty on my 7' 3M/F fishing a swim jig over 3lbs with no problems at all.
  9. I have the 7' 3" H/F for frogs and it is well balanced and a great frog rod.
  10. Fishing cover with swim jigs is a blast. Definitely wsnt to use braid and then drop it in and bang it off the structure and hold on for them to blow up on it. As rockchalk06 said the Subwoofer is a great trailer as is the Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper.
  11. Stacy King had a nice piece on this on the latest Bass Pro Show. Looked very interesting and he was having great luck with it.
  12. That appears to be a common problem with the new Revo S reels.
  13. Last year it was 15%
  14. I prefer standard guides. Have not seen or felt any advantage by using micro guides.
  15. 7' 1" MH/F rod by *** *** Black an amazing rod and can pretty much fish anything you would like with it. I have several of their rods and love them. The grip is not an issue to me and the rods are very comfortable light and extremely well balanced. I have had no issues fishing these rods all day and into the evening.
  16. Pinnacle Perfecta 7 fishing rod and they also appear to have a new reel coming out also.
  17. The *** *** Black rod is far superior to the Mojo rods in my opinion. Gary Loomis is designing the rods for TFO he is not affiliated with GLoomis anymore.
  18. The rod is more important. But if you would like to ugrade your reel as well then look at the Shimano Symetre or the Pinnacle Performa XT.
  19. For that price range in spinning you have alot of options. For reels Pflueger or Shimano has very nice spinning reels and for rods you have Shimnao, Abu Garcia, *** etc.... I would look at a Pflueger President spinning reel with a *** 7 foot MH/F rod and for line probably Power Pro or Suffix Braid in 30lbs test.
  20. Havoc Subwoofers work great but I have really been liking the Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper lately. You could try KVDs Swimming Caffeine Shad. I have some to try but haven't got around to it yet.
  21. Owner has a hook designed by Yamamoto just for fishing the Senko. They seem to hold up very well on these hooks.
  22. But there are also a lot of people like myself who have had no problems with any of my Gen 3 Revo STX reels and I have 5 of them .
