  1. Black and Blue, Green Pumpkin and Watermelon
  2. Outstanding braid, just pricey. Probably the best braid I have used.
  3. Lots of great advice here. Just remember Boxers are permanent toddlers! We have 3 of them.
  4. Saving Private Ryan The Hurt Locker Apocalypse Now Flags of our Fathers We Were Soldiers Full Metal Jacket Jarhead The Thin Red Line Valkyrie and The Band of Brothers Mini Series
  5. The only time I will use rattles on my jigs is in really muddy water. The rest of the times no rattle.
  6. This will be the 3rd year with my Lews Bait Casters and my Lews Spinning reel. I have not had any problems with any of the reels. I will agree with RW that the Lews can be a little finicky getting the brakes on the BC dialed in and I can definitely dial the brakes is on my Shimano a lot easier. So we will see how they hold up for year number 3.
  7. You will not find a better rod for these techniques!
  8. The Cumara is an outstanding jig rod and is far superior to the Compre. The Cumara was designed to be a bottom contact bait rod making it an outstanding jig rod for casting and for feel. You can't go wrong with the Cumara especially with the TW sale going on. Plus the over the counter life time warranty is very nice as well.
  9. The Curado is a great reel and you can't go wrong with it. But the JM Reel for $114 is a really great deal and a very nice reel, just a little bigger and heavier.
  10. St Croix Mojo or Premiere would be 2 great choices. But their are a lot of rods in this price range and it will more then likely come down to what feels comfortable to you.
  11. As jbsoonerfan said it is going to handle all baits very well and the only difference will be the amount of line the reel can hold. For the majority of bass fishing a 50 series reel will be just fine. Another noticeable thing will be the body size will be a little smaller and a little less weight.
  12. The Cumara MH/XF rod is a excellent rod for jigs and t-rigs. It also handles other baits very easily and is a very versatile rod. But it is excels as a bottom contact rod.
  13. Cavitron Buzz Baits, no trailer hook and early morning or at night. Nice little steady retrieve seems to work great with the Cavitron.
  14. Great INFO. Tried fishing Shakey Head last year and had been wondering about whether or not the bait was actually floating up or not. I use the Spot Jig head and will be trying some of the Big Bite Baits Squirrel Tail worms. I mainly just used the YUM F2 Shakalicious worm last year.
  15. BPS JM reel is a great reel. The JM reel isa little bigger and heavier then the SX but the JM reel is in my opinion a much better reel. If you step up to the STX then their is no comparison the STX is far superior.
  16. President definitely. If you could goto the $100 range then the Shimano Symetre.
  17. I would also consider the Shimano Cumara rods.
  18. Used it on my bait caster and spinning reel all last year and had no problems with it. Performed really well mainly just fishing jigs and soft plastics with it.
  19. I have had great luck fishing with these baits. I have talked with Brent Chapman a couple of times and the owner of Tightlines a couple times at Rogers Sporting Goods and they seem to have done their homework on these baits.
  20. Jigs are my preference, preferably swim jigs.
  21. Excellent place to do business with. Never had any problems with them.
  22. I have had very good luck with Tightlines UV Baits. If they really work I don't know, but I do know I have had very good luck with them.
  23. The BPS bags are great bags and especially when they are on sale. Probably will be on sale at the Classic.
  24. I have got to hold one at BPS and one of the new SX spinning reels and they both feel very smooth and light. Time will only tell if they can compete with the Symetre, Saros or Stradic. All these spinning reels are very close in price.
  25. I prefer to use straight braid for all my jig fishing without a leader. This year I am going to experiment with fluorocarbon and maybe try a fluoro leader with braid. But the old reliable backup is good old Yo-Zuri Hybrid.
