  1. Question here... Wouldn't the saltwater keep this item preserved on the bottom?
  2. Muddy_man, he can have his own opinion about things in this world. That's what makes America so great. If you don't like what somebody says, then ignore it and move on. If he thinks the rappers singing Metallic songs is bad, that's his decision and you must respect his own view. I personally like hip hop/rap music and I also listen to heavy metal like Metallic and the newer metal bands but to think this would work out for the good is funny to even think about. Rappers to Heavy Metal people are on different sides of the fence
  3. Al Lindner, seems like he can catch fish with any technique. He seems to master everything. I would love to see him join the Elite Series or FLW Tour for just one season with the current group of Professional anglers. I would like for him to tape and document all the pre-fishing he did for the events and then make a show out of it. He could then explain how the pattern he found in the practice worked for him or explain how he had to adjust to the different weather conditions. That would be seriously the best show ever. And the best part of Al Lindner, he would do it all out of a Lund boat. ha ha.
  4. Nice location of the Stacey King signature. I believe that will catch you more fish alone.
  5. You will probably continue to receive these worthless books. B.A.S.S. was sending me books and they put a collection of coins with them. The problem with that was, that I already bought two of the books in the store that were published by another company about 3 years earlier. All those books have ancient pictures in them from around the early 90's. I ended up getting around 6 books and they all were pretty much the same material with no real advanced knowledge that anyone above a novice wouldn't already know. I suggest you return the next book they send you because it will be coming in the mail in about a months time.
  6. Catt, nice post. One thing though, I believe there are rules on the length of a rod. I believe they can not be over 8 feet long.
  7. go to your local Sportsmans Warehouse. Some walleye fishermen has 2 DVD's out on Lowrance Electronics. One is Basic and the other is Advanced. I've seen them and they are great videos. I highly recommend.
  8. They are not special. They all need to purchase state fishing licenses for the lakes they are on. Usually thats in the rules saying you must have a state fishing license on your possession.
  9. Our fishing season ends March 31, 2007 for the '06 season. I think mid-march is when the ice houses need to be off the lakes.
  10. Greatest post this season. Way to end the 2006 posting/thread season.
  11. I'm sure you could say you want a '07 license and they would print it up for you.
  12. I normally fish in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I think our resident license in Minnesota is around $18 but for a non-resident license for Wisconsin is $50. What a rip-off that is. Get to fish around 6-7 productive months a year. They should have seperate seasons up here. A Open water fishing license and a frozen water license for ice fishing. I get screwed cuz I don't ice fish. Oh well, nothing is ever fair.
  13. You with the lifetime licenses, what happens if you lose it, whats the replacement costs?
  14. Good question, I'm waiting for the answers also. I have a general idea.
  15. Hey Glenn, I don't see any calendars for sale... ever think of putting a calendar together. Maybe each month could have a different member fishing or holding a fish, with a specific tip that they gave near the bottom of the picture.
  16. I think a lot of the declining numbers are because of the increased gas prices. I know it cut down my traveling to fishing tournaments. It's not cheap to run a truck/boat combo over 100 miles to a tournament, you don't place, then drive 100 miles back. That's a 200 mile trip, and spent around $150. I'm sure the guys that aren't showing up to these tournaments are the bottom feeders. Novices are gone from the circuits.
  17. And no scheduled maintenance for the first two years............ Yeah, but if you want the motor to last, they suggest you get it maintenanced annually. The Evinrude dealer around here said that the Etec's are like any other motor, you still should get them maintenanced annually. For the amount of money you put into a motor, I wouldn't want to go without a yearly maintenance program.
  18. Harshman, your a B.A.S.S. follower and the wife is a FLW Tour supporter?
  19. I would suggest you just do a search for it online. Anything you need can be found online in a simple search.
  20. Walmart sells Silver Thread... HA HA HA HA HA ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  21. Before I started using Baitcasters, I was turned off by them because the one I was using was a cheap pile of ____ and it just wasn't working out, so I scraped that plan of using them for around 5 years. Then once I got into tournament fishing, I realized that I needed a good quality baitcaster, so I went out and bought my first expensive baitcaster, a Shimano Castaic. It was night and day on how easy it was to use compared to the junk $40 and under reels. I think the quality of baitcaster you purchase to practice with is very important. I say spend around $140 for a good caster and put some cheap line on the reel, put about an ounce weight on the end of the line, turn 75% of the brakes on and throw it around the front of your yard. Then go to a football or baseball field and whip it out as far as you can, drop down in weight, drop the breaking system down. Do everything with the wind in your face to practice that. Practice makes perfect. Thats how I taught myself how to use a baitcaster. I think a quality baitcaster from a quality company is the ticket when learning how to use them, then if you wanna pull that cheapo out and use that, I think you should have no problems with it.
  22. I would like to see Ike come up with a show sooner or later. I think it would be very informative. That guy has a vault of knowledge and I wanna hear it.
  23. I personally can't stand watching any show Roland Martin is a part of. He is a very accomplished fishermen but he drives me insane. He likes hearing himself talk even when he has guests on like Gary Yamamoto. On comcast on-demand videos, they have Martin and Yamamoto bass fishing his new swimming senko. I have to mute it.
  24. Sounds good, was just wondering... thanks
  25. Any talks of a regional tournament of BassResource members with a National Tournament to follow on a Mystery Lake.
