Love the way you snuck that in!
  2. I returned mine. Found it difficult to ID the lures once they're in the box. A little disappointed because it seemed like a great storage solution but just didn't work out too well.
  3. These are just great for plastics. I picked one up at Michaels for about $26 on sale.
  4. Good info on this post, thanks to the contributors. I have a better understanding of jerk-baiting now.
  5. Somebody is spoiled rotten! I can't even imagine what my wife would pack for me, probably some tofu, brown rice and something that tastes like dirt.
  6. There was a recent discussion on plastics storage and I found an idea that works just great. Thank You to Jim Sutter for turning me on to it. I picked up a plastic storage box with 16 discrete 4 x 6 boxes inside. Got it at Michaels, $40 but on sale for 40% off, came out to $23 and change. Haven't had it out yet but works great in the garage. Most plastics, especially Senkos fit just right. Here are some pix: The box Box showing the 16 compartments Perfect fit
  7. Just looked these up - sounds like a good solution for plastics. Thanks for the tip.
  8. After all these years they still haven't gotten the big dull hook problem taken care of. Gotta do it yourself.
  9. I just replace mine with some appropriately sized cord. I keep an eye out for any wear spots but so far no problem.
  10. My organizational methods are always in a state of evolving but basically lots of Plano or similar 3700 series boxes, some deep ones for bagged plastics, one with lots of small compartments for terminal tackle, hooks, sinkers etc. Onboard I keep them all in an upright milk crate or at least the ones I'm using at the time. Ask me again in a year and I'll have reorganized again. Guess tuning up your storage is an ongoing thing.
  11. Picked up some Zoom U-tale worms, Lizards and Super Flukes at Walmart for $2.16 / pack. Just got 3 pkgs, left some on the rack for the next lucky shopper.
  12. That's disappointing. I thought Booyah was considered a quality spinnerbait.
  13. Thanks for the great response Rolo - that really helped clear things up for me. I knew there was a correlation between pressure and fish activity but was clueless how it worked.
  14. I always wear one when fishing so the chicks don't go crazy, swimming out to my boat to introduce themselves in their skimpy little size 3 bikinis and all. I guess my handsomeness is a two-edged sword but can sometimes be the burden I must bear.
  15. OK, this makes sense. Wasn't too sure myself.
  16. The problem seems to be as WRB stated: It takes most of your cast distance to get down to depth, then it starts to come back up on the retrieve. Wouldn't be nice if we had some means of quietly moving the boat while pulling our lures behind us for extended periods? Maybe something electric so it's quiet, slow, and maneuverable. Not sure what to call this technique, maybe something like "towing" or "trailering" or something. Well, we can only hope.
  17. Rambler, you hit the nail on the head. Bass + Flyrod = great fishing joy.
  18. This - absolutely do this. No man can serve two masters, no man can use two back-up methods.
  19. re: the double uni. I must be tying it wrong. The two lines hold at the knot but I can slide the two knots apart, more like a jam knot that only works in one direction. Anyone else have this problem?

Good man. Wish my Dad was around to take fishing..
  21. Carolina Keepers! Forgot all about them, thanks. Got some in my tackle box already.
  22. I have trouble with the bobber stoppers slipping down the line even though I tighten them as much as I can.

Zoom is my go-to choice with the exception of GY Senkos & Hula grubs which Zoom doesn't make anyway.
  24. I just picked up some egg-shaped split shot for this technique. Haven't used them yet but they should work better in the gravel/rock bottoms I fish. At least that's my excuse to try something new.
  25. I might have missed this but where was it breaking? If it was at the line/leader point that would help analyze the problem.
