Weddings were nice when I was single. It was always easy to score fun in the evening. Got married and then it became a bore. Now that I am divorced all of my friends are married or divorced so I do not have to go to them anymore. Last wedding I went to was in Mexico. Got to lay around for a week at an all inclusive bar. Don't remember anything but I was told it was nice.

I used to live in Mexico and that is one thing I miss the most It was nothing like stopping in and order 4 or 5 of those and washing it down with some ice cold beer Between those and the fish tacos I used to get in San Diego I think I could eat those every day

That for two years I have been taking care of my mother in and out of hospitals and not once did I ever get a cold. The weather finally breaks and is beautiful out and I get a chest cold. This is the first time that I have been sick in over 5 years. It just amazes me.

Well today was my dad's birthday. He was my best friend, fishing and hunting partner and just a d**n good guy. Too bad he passed away five years ago. I used to cry almost every day when I thought of him because I missed him so much. Now I smile most days thinking of how much fun we had together. I still miss him though. So this morning I get a call from me Ex. Her grandma died. The funny thing is she was closer to me then any of her family. I love her and she loved me unconditionally. She was a crazy little Polish cooking, wine drinking cussing like a sailor friend of mine. She is going to be bossing Jesus around tonight. So if you have a beer, raise a glass and tell her go relax for once she spent her life making others happy.

You have to remember that many people on this board started bass fishing before there were all the resources that you have now. The reason they are good fishermen is that they have failed many times over. You learn from getting on the water and being observant. I will say that a positive attitude goes a long way. Hell there are many days I am happy to catch dinks. Enjoy life, nature and the beauty that you are afforded on the water and the catching is just a bonus. Remember as well we have people from all over the world posting here. What works on their body of water might not work on yours. Keep your head up and smile and just enjoy the water.

I used to drink a beer for every bass that I caught. Well then I found senkos. I was fishing out of john boat and all I had were senkos and beer. I loaded the boat with a bunch of beer. I was fishing a three acre pond. Well the Coast Guard showed up three days later as I was still in a drunken stooper.

There is a golf course in florida where I spend my time in the winter called Mayaka Pines. It has a gator that size on it. We were teeing off on one of the holes and d**n thing was laying from the blue tees to the white tees. Never have I been more proud to hit from the ladies tee.

Well I have built on those muscles since I was 13. After I met my future wife those muscles did not get used as much. When we got engaged I never used them. When I got married the first 3 months I used them some. After that I started using them again daily. Now that I am divorced I look like Popeye.

Where you are at the chances of you encountering a poisonous are very slim. A good pair of boots and you should be fine.

It is funny I was looking at the six pack of worms. Almost a dollar a bait 35 years ago. People complain about that price today for senkos. I guess that puts it in a little perspective.

Not to be a preacher or anything. I know for much of the country this is going to be the first time on the water this year. Please be safe. Use proper flotation devices. There will be a ton of idiots on the waterways. If the boat is moving wear a life vest.
