  1. Another vote for either one. Both those are probably the two most common sizes I use. 7/0 is a rather large hook for a 12" worm. If you can, you might want drop down to a 3/0 or 4/0.
  2. All the time. Double anchoring on wind blown points is a go-to technique for us in these parts. I love draggin' worms and jigs up hill on points stacked bait and gamefish. Slow rolling a spinner bait can be deadly too...
  3. Yeah, me neither. Three of then are in the same state though... about 8 hours away...
  4. Classic!
  5. I like those finesse wide gap hooks as well.
  6. Mepps Aglia is the Biz!
  7. The Whopper Plopper is legit!
  8. Weightless and weedless.
  9. I use a size 2 Gammy split shot/ drop shot hook exclusively to nose hook. I use a size 1 Gammy straight shank worm hook to go weedless.
  10. Another vote for Cavitron. I like black and red or all black.
  11. Colors: Browns, Greens and Black to start. Catch fish, gain confidence and build your arsenal from there.
  12. Flippin' N' Pitchin' and Cover & Structure are probably the tow most misused, confused or switched terms in all of bass fishing. I have fished with people for years who have been fishing for decades who either don't know or don't care to use the terms properly.
  13. Usually about a 1/2 dozen on deck at any given time. Usually not very much more. I might be only using one or two for the whole trip though.
  14. Other than actual "dangerous" behavior (full plane drive by's) cutting between us and the point/ shore might be my biggest pet peeve. Engaging them is usually a futile endeavor. Sounds like you played your cards right. Not that long ago we had a couple of guys come blasting in full plane on us in between us and the shore on a long (and I mean long) tapering point as we were working our way uphill only to drop shop and start fishing the shoreline. Head scratcher for sure...
  15. Absolutely! I have seen them occupy the smallest pieces of real estate imaginable in about 20' of water or so on a ledge which basically drops vertically to 100 plus feet!
  16. Nope. Never have, never will. So may reasons why. I want to hear everything around me. Breaking fish at my back? Grab the top water setup, spin around and fire out at that boil. Someone coming in hot on a plane around a corner? Get ready to move if need be. A nice tranquil morning with the sounds of nature in full effect? Priceless...
  17. Faults? The price! Haha. In all seriousness, probably the knot strength is the number one offender. With that being said I haven't really had a problem with he Palomar or the SD Jam knot.
  18. Baitcasters right handed, spinning gear left. Its just how I have always done it and any other way feels weird. I feel the reasons stated in RW's posts play into this, although I can fish either way in a pinch.
  19. Mepps Aglia Mepps Aglia
  20. Another vote for 3/8ths.
  21. Yo-Zuri Hybrid 10 lb for most cranks. 12 lb for lipless.
