2020 Tatula SV tw Take a look inside.
And to think I was mocked a year ago for bringing this to peoples attention that it’s going to be and will continue to be an issue with new Daiwa....weird.

Where to get custom Daiwa parts?
Most stock have 1 bearing and 1 bushing. It's not common place, with daiwa, to have 4bb handles but some models do. I generally replace the bushing /w bearings but i tinker. The bearing size is 4x7x2.5. Make sure you replace them /w SS. the cheap RC car ebay bearings will work but any moisture and corrosion will lead to frequent replacements. A sticky knob doesn't always mean a bad bearing. You can pop the knob caps off the handle and loosen the handle screw ever so slightly. If the knob starts to spin, they may have added an extra shim on accident under the handle bushing/bearing that you can remove and will fix your issue. I also never oil handle bearings like a spool bearing. I dip them in a 90wt gear oil after flushing. very smooth.

Dobyns 736cb glass vs Mojo 7'2" H glass vs Tatula 7'4" H Glass
I have the 736cb glass that is used for only bladed jigs. Absolutely love the rod. I fish a lot of grass.

Daiwa SS SV 103 Carbontex
The SSsv spool is the single most complained about spool in the 13 years daiwa has made sv spools. Its a good spool...if you change the inductor and the spring to make it a new a spool. If you like it, great. Most dont.

Daiwa SS SV 103 Carbontex
Yes, 8:1 conversion changes the ratio to 8:1. it's a brass gear set as well /w dog ear'd washers which help ten fold /w stopping power. It was the first upgrade I made to my SS SV when I had one a while ago. The stock spool and drag on the SS SV103 are among the worst Daiwa has ever produced......maybe you're thinking of a different reel......

Daiwa SS SV 103 Carbontex
you'll notice a little gain in drag power going to carbon tex but unless you get the 8:1 conversion /w the mutli stack drag, it's not going to be a winch or anything. It will be fine for sparse weeds, small eel grass patches and open water /w the single washer but that's about it's limits. Fairly certain you'll want the Carbontex Daiwa #1. https://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=898_651&products_id=2944

Fishing podcast
bass talk live is a great podcast. I generally listen to them daily. Bass edge is okay as well but it's down to once a month I believe. FLW has one /w jodi and kyle that is good too but it's also sporadic.

...what? Did you start a conversation with me Somewhere that I don’t know about…? You quoted me and then referenced your own pictures, which have nothing to do with what I was Talking About.. when I was clearly answering the original poster. I didn’t look at your pictures and nothing I said was even intended to be in relation to whatever you’re talking about. You can call me dense Or whatever floats your boat buddy. I read the post and hit reply. I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings by not acknowledging your pictures but I don’t scroll through these to see other replies. - Daiwa parts
