  1. It sounds like you have a weak battery. The 36v series will only run as strong as its weakest battery even if the other 2 are perfect. Here's how to find the culprit.... Charge to full and take everything off the posts and let them sit overnight with nothing on them. Measure the voltage on all 3. Fully charged AGM should be 12.9 =/- .1 after sitting without use. They'll be 13+ right after you take them off the charger. Buy a 20$ load tester from harbor freight. Test each battery. with a load on it. Simply just charging a bad battery doesn't anything for a bad battery. They have to be load tested.
  2. All my steez, zillions , tdz, alphas have long handle spin times. Non of them come to an abrupt stop. Just a slow down after quite a few revolutions.
  3. The abrupt stopping isnt common and also isnt that serious On an issue. I still have a couple TDZ in rotation and could strip these things down to a spring with my eyes closed. What you can do is loosen the drag And see of it gets better. If it does, its either the drag stack or the small felt washer that sits between the main gear and the white plastic lvlwind gear. Also, make sure theres that thin washer under the drag clicker on top of the bearing that sits on top of the AR bearing. Its there to make sure theres clearance between the bearing and clicker. If its not there and you tighten the drag, you cam feel resistance. Start there.
  4. I do all my own work and have for years. Ian is the best reel tuner/tech around..hands down. He’s a magician. I recommended the tackletrap because they’re a daiwa authorized repair shop and have parts readily available.
  5. a hair of rotation is normal so it's fine. If the magnets don't move, at least we know they're secured. ..unfortunately that's the easy fix 9 times out of 10. I'm still leaning towards some sort of magnet/spool issue but can't tell w/o my hands on it. I don't have much in the way of OG zillion spare parts. send it to Spanky over at the TackleTrap
  6. with the side plate off, take a small tip flat head screw driver to either of the notched magnetic rings and try to rotate them by pushing the screwdriver head into them and rotating. If they move when you push on them, they're loose and that's your issue. The inductor can rotate freely around the spool shaft and won't engage the spool . I don't recall if the OG zillion had tabs on the spool inductor that moved in and out when increasing/decreasing braking but that's something else to look for if it has tabs. They should both move out when you lift the inductor away from the spool. also, if you have another zillon or a td-z, you can swap sideplates to help narrow down the issue. they're all the same.
  7. Common problem on old daiwas. Its either the inductor on your spool or one the magnetIc rings inside the side plate has come loose and wont engage. Spool you can figure out how to check that i hope. The test the magnests, take the side plate off and move the dial and watch the rings. Both are easy fixes.
  8. something's gotta be goofy. next day and 2 day are both quoted 41$ for me. i'll try again tomorrow.
  9. Im being quoted 41$ for 2 day shipping...for a 60$ order of terminal/softbaits today...lol.
  10. Been using these for 2 years before they started being carried by fishing retailers. Love em. https://www.fishusa.com/Gerber-Neat-Freak-Fishing-Braided-Line-Cutters?gclid=CjwKCAjwx9_4BRAHEiwApAt0zhsd9JsW0qJ4Gt1eE6pM1utP7Uf7xCALyOV6bfrmfbv51JJahdsv_RoCs9cQAvD_BwE

  15. I couldn't say no to it anymore. (that's what she said). Morethan PE1k 7:1 LH will be here in a couple weeks.
  16. There is not a higher quality and meticulously engineered reel than a Linnhue or a Jitai.
  17. Steak burritos are the JDM of burritos .
  18. steak burritos > chicken burritos.
  19. Love the ned bomb. Been using it for around a year . Only ned bait i use.
  20. I also found the morethan pe for 368 on the bay. I need 2 reels right now and this one has been in my cart for over a day. trying to find a downside but can't.
  21. bingo. if you turn the handle and it happens in the exact same spot during every single turn of the handle, it's very likely a main gear issue. especially if you can feel it in the handle. feeling rough during the entire retrieve is pinon area related. it's possible it's the levelwind but unlikely. remove the pawl cap and take the pawl out. crank the CC knob as tight as you can and reel. if you can feel the rough spot during everyturn, it's a gear issue. slapping grease in a port and oiling things won't fix anything. needs to be broken down.
  22. they aren't falsely advertising anything...BP is out of stock ..why would they price match something the company doesn't have...shop the JDM sites for them.
  23. if it's in and out handle play, take the drive shaft off and make sure the drive shaft washer is present under the bearing. Sometimes there's 2 under the drive shaft to account for the play.
