  1. Look in the area the smoke came from. Hard to give much more without knowing what type of motor. did you try to start the motor again on muffs?
  2. Could be a lot. Could be nothing. Pop the cowling off (motor cover) and look for any melted wires around the harness. Start there. Might want to check the fuse, too.
  3. The "damiki rig" is just veritical jigging. Winter river rats have been doing this for 40+ years. Same style bait. Same style jig. Nothing new, just a new catchy.name.
  4. As somebody that has used a 734 and 735 for years now, 1 oz on a 734 is a terrible idea....especially with a swimbait. The 735, while a great frog rod, is also not a good rod to use for baits at the 1 1/2oz range. Throw a 1 1/2oz weight on it, look at the deflection /w just a bait on there, and ask yourself if you REALLY feel comfortable throwing that without risking it. It's top end "rating" being 1 1/2oz is too much for it. You sure can toss a 1 1/2oz bait on it. You could toss a 1 1/2oz bait on the 733. You're asking for disaster. The op is asking for a rod that doesn't exist. The 765 will handle the swimbaits, jigs, spinnerbaits (not great but will work better than throwing a swimbait on the 735), and frogs. None will be good for crankbaits or small topwaters.
  5. As a Dallas fan, I'm not very optimistic about next year. It's going to be a very, very difficult season next year unless they make some huge improvements on a poor defense that gets "hidden" by their ball control offense. they have to play: @OAK @DEN @ARI NYGx2 SEA KC GB @ATL that doesn't include philly/wash. That, by all accounts, could be a nightmare. With that schedule, any team could very easily go 8-8 or worse and not make the playoffs. IF they can pull a 13-3 year out of Dak, he will be a front runner for MVP vs that schedule.
  6. he did...after he asked about the livewell and gas tank.
  7. tatula...curado...theres tons of reels at that price range that fit your needs
  8. They have a dedicated swim bait rod in the fury line. I would go with that one for the Bates you mentioned.
  9. For jigs, spinnerbaits, and frogs..yes For crankbaits, small topwaters(buzzbaits will be fine), and swimbaits over 1 oz, no. Terrible rod for those things.
  10. Again, info he's looking for is not on that website. If you are able to find it hats off to you. The specs for a 1995 268v on iboats do not include fuel capacity. http://boatspecs.iboats.com/Stratos_Boats__268_V__1995/bp/66b89624
  11. ....said nobody ever
  12. fuel should be 18g. livewell use WIGuide's forumula.
  13. There's hundreds of videos on youtube on how to do this. It is a pretty inexpensive thing to do, too.
  14. Hard to tell size from pic but I would guess SR7 or SR9. Color I believe is Parrot.
  15. 1/4 oz - 1 1/2 oz is asking a lot for 1 rod. Especially after you add the bait to the 1 1/2oz. 766 is a broom stick and will handle down to 3/8+ bait up to 2oz + bait really well. Its pretty much just a punching rod. 765 will handle your lower end up to around 1 1/4+ bait. If you olan on using 3/8-1oz 90% of the time i would get the 765. It still has a lot of power and will work really well punching those weights. If you stick to 1oz+, get the 766.
  16. Could be a number of things. Do your RPMS go up but speed doesn't? If so, I would check your prop for a spun hub. If the RPMS don't go up..it could be a number of things as simple as gas, dirty carbs, clogged instake, being down a cylinder or over heating.
  17. Check your wiring on the back of your gauges for starters. Any loose ones touching the wrong post will blow your main fuse when you turn the key. I had it happen twice on my old boat. Had a couple loose ones make contact /w the back of the tach posts. Could be a short in the fuel pump or coils too. hopefully way2slow will be along to assist
  18. 24v TM /w more #thrust. Hook 9 is on sale at cabelas for 500.
  19. Don't eat yellow snow
  20. Keep an eye on overstockbait.com. They will run them on sale for 1.99 or less a bag a few times over the winter. Their color selection is almost nothing at this point due to the sales they had earlier in the winter right now. When they restock they usually run a huge sale and it's a massive free for all for a couple days.
  21. With a nail weight and an O-ring neko rigged. I drag it up really slow and bump it into anything. If it falls off something I let it fall on slack line. It has a very unique shimmy on the fall. Kut tails are ridiculously expensive and ridiculously productive. I can get several fish out of 1 bait if I use an O-ring. They also have a very unique shimmy on a light unpegged texas tig when fished along grass lines.
