Assuming you did indeed put everything back together correctly, and nothing else is out of place, your Gears are bad. If it's a constant rough feeling it's your Pinion l. if you can noticeably tell it's only in one spot it's your maingear. I will venture to bet it's your Pinion thats bad. Inspect your pinion under a bright light and I bet you find some sort of a Knick or Burr.Either way replace them both . It happens.

I got a megaware KeelGuard on amazon for 88$ shipped a couple years ago. Just look around. It's not one of those items I'd go cheap on. 100$ for something that can prevent thousands of dollars in glass damage is beyond worth it.

We had an incident in one league that required some tinkering due a moronic ESPN screw up. Spencer ware, as of last Thursday night (3 days after the championship had been decided) had 70 total yards. ESPN went back and changed it to 69 yards Thursday afternoon something like 3 hours before the Thurs game. Not a huge deal except that 1 point gave the previous loser the win with a now tied game(even with decimal scoring) based on a tie breaker (bench points) and was now playing for the champion ship, had no idea, and didn't set a line up...because he thought he lost. We've known this is possible but have a long standing 6 year rule that any stat corrections that happen after the following weeks waivers run do not count and have to be corrected if they have any impact on matches. Had to go back and forth /w the scoring and figured it out somehow to get it corrected. CONGRATS ON THE WIN SMALLIES!! hope I didn't jinx it we'll have an open discussion about any changes you guys want me to make next year probably mid June.

Never used the hyper long cast but have heard they can be a bit on the wild side. I do have a TDZ type r+ spool in my Steez SV. Line capacity is a non issue and it will launch baits a mile.

I've used both and still have one of each. The 1016 and 3d braking are amazing but that's about as far as it goes. thankfully I was able to offload 2 of my 3 1016s but I've had to replace gear sets, drive shafts, and broken hoods on mine. I now have a small chip in a pinion gear on the T3 that I own that will need to be replaced and have no idea how it got there. Hasn't been opened since the spring and the gears were new then. I've tried using extra penn grease in the reel but I just have had poor luck /w the 1016. Resale value for the 1016 is at an all time low, too. You're going to be lucky getting 130(ish) for them new. Despite that, when working, they are a fantastic reel with a strong following. Lots of people have no issues with them so I may be just unlucky. I would take the Tatula CT every time.

You're going to have to find a diamond in the rough for a bass boat that's only 4k. Add in 1-200 for a mechanic to check out the motor, insurance, taxes, all coast guard mandatory equipment, likely things you'll have to replace (batteries, fuses, wiring, oil, plugs) add another 1k. A used boat is almost never "drive away and hit the water.". you can luck out but it's highly unlikely for 4k. There's usually a reason they are that cheap. For every 2-3 people that get a steal on a boat, there's 50 that had the motor blow, hull crack, transom split, boat take on water, and other major issues after a few uses. If you aren't prepared to spend a little more, then go your jon boat route. If you can add 3-4k to your budget, you'll be able to find a better boat. You can deck out a tin 1656 jon boat to be a fishing machine /w a 9.9 for small waters and be completely happy. Used boat buying- Break Out Another Thousand

in terms of size 50<70<CT I've got a 50 and a CT. The 50 is noticeably smaller than a CT but the 50 is pretty small. I polished a few internal spots on my CT and added 4 bearings/different knobs to the handle and a bearing to the level wind. It's ridiculously smooth.

You would have to source them from Daiwa or have them custom painted. I'm not even sure if the hoods from the special edition ballistics or the SLP project T3s would even still be available. It would likely be much easier to have the hood custom painted.

Rodents and a custom color 702 Craw cover most situations. Depends on the area I'm fishing.

There really isn't an "ideal" condition for these. We use them on the river a lot in area with strictly sand a lot more than we use them in rock. Transition areas or depressions/ditches were fish sit are places a wobble head works really excels. They key to these is to keep them moving and have the correct weight to keep in constant bottom contact. find your success /w these go up quite a bit if you keep them moving and having constant bottom contact. Head weight is the most important. Don't slowly drag/stop them(though that can work). Defeats the purpose of what they do.

Go to your local home-improvement store and buy an 8 foot inch or inch and a half PVC tube with end caps. Rod should always always always be shipped in PVC.

A 3 power Dobyns fishes more like a traditional medium power rod than a MH. The blanks are also slower the further down the line you go. I.E a Extreme HP 3 power has a much faster action than a 3 power fury or sierra.
