Could this be true of the OP? Sure. For every true story theres 400 liars that want to take advantage of something. A company has no way of knowing the truth. If his rods new, sure he will get a new one probably for free. It he (or anybody) breaks a rod after a year of use and thinks they should get a replacement for free is delusional. Sometimes a company will do it.

I use Lucas Slick Mist on my current boat after every use to wipe down and don't have any water spot issues on boat or motor. My last boat I wasn't as diligent about wipe downs and it was a PITA trying to scrub them off.

Mines on an RT188. I put a transducer plate on back so I don't have to play the guessing game /w holes. Luckily I got it right the first time. Mine's 13in off center of the prop shaft at the lowest point. Puts it right in front of the trailer bunk. The glossy part of the transducer is flush /w the bottom of the boat and leveled.

I have a 7 TI at the console. I really like the unit. The base maps are were a lot better than I was anticipating but adding a navionics card was a must (for me) for sonar chart live in uncharted backwater areas. No complaints about it. Mine will read on plane up to 33-35 MPH but using 2D at 50MPH is, to me, pointless. The second you see it, you've hit it. I much prefer to have a good map and if I don't know the area, I'm at idle anyway. Pretty much use the unit for structure scan (side scan) and mapping and an 70/30 splint screen of mapping/2d when at idle. Does exactly what I want it to. I found mine for 100$ off on jet.com last winter. Get the biggest screen you can afford or find a deal on for the front. I use an Hook 9 at the bow and 99% of the time I have it on split 2d/down scan. It helps recognize transitions on wingdams really well. Really like that unit, too. You can't link these units to others but that's at the bottom of my list. Where/how I fish, it isn't that huge of a deal.

The difference between the red, blue, and clear tiny bottles of oil is the color. They are all the same low viscosity and meant for spool bearings. There's a chart on TT that has the viscosity of a lot of popular oils. The daiwa needle oiler is not the same as the small bottles.

I will customize a used TD-Z before I buy anything on the market right now except for an SV 103 or Steez SV TW. The form factor and endless customizations are unmatched. Not to mention the reels are just smooth as butter and the R+ spool is one of the best spools that's ever been produced. I will also put a TD-Z type R + spool in anything I'm using to cast and not pitching/skip over any spool on the market every time. That spool is just flat out awesome. For pitching/skipping I like the Steez SV TW and Steez SV.

Yes, while not ideal, the 735 will throw those. the 735 is xf vs the 734 is a fast tip. The 735 shuts off quicker and has more backbone . The 734 would be a 9 for open water frogging and a 6 if fished in cover. I would rather use the 765 or 805 in cover.
