  1. It's nov 25 starting at 10am PST through Nov 29 5 PST. It's literally posted on every social media account TW has. It's been up for a week or two.
  2. Sale starts at 10am PST (noon central) tomorrow (11/25). Things will go out of stock but you will still get it for the sale price. It may just take a while to get to you. They will ship what is in stock and ship the back order at a later date.
  3. For the most part, yes. Never tried Megabass but Daiwa and Shimano both work.
  4. A non TWS Fuego CT? Should just bring back the original Fuego. Better frame design.
  5. It's irrelevant unless you know/understand specifically what scrim, resin, etc are used in the blanks. It's not a universal rating between companies. Regardless if it's a 36 or 30 shouldn't be a determinant on your decision. One companies 30t isn't equivalent to another companies 30t.
  6. Their dealer map isn't accurate and most don't carry a full line up. There are 3 "dealers" located within driving distance of me that do no carry either any or more than 6-7 savvy series rods. If you don't live on the west coast, it can be difficult to find a shop with inventory that will allow you to compare various models. The closest shop that has a full line up of most everything to both the OP and myself is Kruger Farms, 470 miles away. If you can wait a couple months, swing by the Chicago Fishing Expo in Schaumberg Jan 26-29. Pretty big expo that may have a few dealers selling Dobyns. Fury's were 85$ a piece at the Bettendorf / Davenport fishing expo last winter.
  7. The blanks go up in quality. The savvy doesn't have a CB series but their 3 powers act a lot like the Fury CB. The actions differ a little as the blanks act different throughout the line ups.
  8. kind of made sense..i think. If you want a moderate fast glass type action rod, you'll have to get the champ 705 cb glass which has a graphte butt section and glass upper. The non glass CB rods act a lot like a 3 power savvy which is a little slower than your traditional fast action rod. It won't load into the midsection like a glass rod.
  9. It gives more than a fast action but less than a moderate. Hence...moderate fast.. It doesn't load as deep as the 705cb glass . The non glass make good lipless bait rods. I prefer the glass champions for squarebills and mid divers.
  10. Feel free to buy a rod based on a recommended lure spec from the manufacturer. However, if you want an opinion from somebody who has actually used the 734/735/765 for years and almost every other Dobyns rod, there is less than a 0% chance the 735 even handles 1 1/2oz. You're pushing the rod to its limits even trying to punch /w a 1oz weight with it.
  11. You don't want either of those to use for the 3 things you mentioned. The 734 is a great all around rod. Decent in moderate cover but 3/4 total weight is it's limit. 735 is an awesome frog rod. I've been using a savvy 735 for years for just frogs. Lots of people like the champ 735 for up to 3/4oz jigs (1oz ish total weight) Awful punch rod for heavy weights. You can punch 3/4oz and be fine but getting to 1oz + too much for the rod. Get the Fury 765. It will handle up to 1 1/2 oz weights punching, easily flip/pitch big jigs, and toss frogs.
  12. ugh no kidding. my RB's threw it in my south mouth without warning.
  13. with motor trimmed down level and a fold away tongue, you're looking at +/- 29 ft in length. trimmed up on a motor mate or transom savor will add 1-2 ft. width will vary between boats but ballpark 10 ft of clearance and you'll be good.
  14. son of a bee sting. Both my starting RB's went down in the first quarter. Well that's a loss for me. Calling it early.
  15. Well that stinks...totally different bait than the BDS 3 and 4. I just bought a handful of BDS 2's from tackle express. I've still got quite a few. I found a few left here and there on ebay. Seems people may be hording them. I hope this doesn't turn into a bait that asks for the RC 1.5 prices. What the french were they thinking d/c that crank....
  16. A lot of running rough water is the driver. It isn't something you're going to learn in a day. As described , your set up will be fine assuming you aren't under powered engine wise. Spend as much time in rough water as you can to get the hang of it.
  17. Did I miss something about these being discontinued? I was buying them last year and now I can only find the 3/4. Ebay doesn't even have much.
  18. You mad at the bowl cut bruh?
  19. The extreme ScV blank is one of the finest on the market. Great rods. I would look at the new legend elite with torsites instead though
  20. ......both size baits fish very well on casting gear and fish very easily. They are narrow baits that dont catch the wind. 704 is fine. I throw them on the 705 cb glass and a daiwa tdz without issues.
  21. I see no reason not to take the talon off your Predator and throw it right on.
  22. The shimano Core 50...
