  1. The lake is tough for bigger fish, usually get plenty of smaller ones. That is the reason I do not fish the Wed nighters, who ever gets lucky enough to get a keeper is usually the winner.
  2. I'm fishing the Wednesday nighter tournament at Wyandotte this evening.....anyone else planning on heading out there?
  3. Never have had a lot of luck there with crappie, caught a few but usually hit up Clinton or Perry when wanting to stock the freezer.
  4. I live by Washington HS and fish Wyco quite a bit. Never done the wed nighters (no regular partner) but do catch quite a few smallies and LM there. Kinda focused or crappie right now(soon as it warms back up).
  5. Good Luck, with this cold spell it will probably be tough.
  6. I was there today too, never saw temps in the 60's but 57 to 58 in several places. Didn't catch any big guns like you got, but did have several in the 2 # range. Quite a few whites as well. Lake was beautiful today !
  7. That guy between boat and truck is in a dangerous place when loading a boat IMHO.
  8. Thinking about Melvern Tuesday, got open back seat if anyone is interested PM me.
  9. Tough day at Wyco. Thought the smallies might be biting, no such luck. Only managed a trout on a ned.
  10. Any one have problems ordering from Mkndo? I ordered on line 4\04 and called later asking about my order. As of today I still have not received it.
  11. I love that lake, what is the water level like? Are the boat ramps accessible and safe to launch?
  12. Neighbor tows a 16 ft Lowe with a V6 Highlander and has no problems. i 'be been with him several trips and does good, even in Ozark hills. I used to tow my Javelin with a Ford Ranger 4.0 V6. No problem unless was a long hill then shifted a lot. Had to watch a little closer about stopping as braking force was not nearly as good as my F150 has now. I don't think you would have any issues. MPG on Ranger was less than the F150 towing, around 13.5 or 14.
  13. I also fish alone and have wondered the same thing. Best thing I can come up with is to use bumpers. Most lakes I fish have pads on the docks that help some but not 100%. Just have to realize some dock rash is part of the game.
  14. New boat engines are designed to run ethanol gas now days.
  15. Windy on wyco today. Couldn't find any bass. Did manage 4 trout in the 4 hours I was there.
  16. Nice Superfluke MBA, guess maybe we should have gone to Melvern Tuesday ???
  17. Superfluke, I'm good to go along Tuesday. Where, when, your boat? PM or call me with logistics.
  18. Anybody get this after fishing for a few hours? My back is sore for hours after a day of fishing, I stand all the time so put in a recessed TM tray it helped some. Does any one know of a brace/support you could wear to help?
  19. Wally World. And they are everywhere in case there is a problem.
  20. Hope yours turn out better than mine did. Did not like all the bones either. Crappie much more tasty and easier to clean.
  21. Caught a few Rainbow Trout at Wyco today. After baking a couple with lemon and dill I remember why I rarely fish for them..........don't like the taste of them.
  22. Going to Wyco tomorrow to catch some trout
  23. One of the best things about being retired is not having to go fishing on the weekends Oh yea, not getting up and going to work every morning is really great too!
  24. frat brother brought her as his date to a party at my apartment. I asked her out next week and we have been married 44 years now.
