  1. I am sure this dude could hook you up with a wedding special http://jm-woodcraft.cabanova.com/ he is a member here and makes killer cranks
  2. welcome, you found the right site to get the info you seek. this time of the year i would throw a jerk bait using long 1 to 3 sec pauses and watch your line during the pause gold has been working in the lakes around here near Pittsburgh. I would throw it near downed trees and work it back with the jerks if i were asked to reccomend an all around lure one word ......SENKO rig it weightless texas style it casts like a bullet, let it sink to the bottom, watch your line for movement lift your rod, reel in a turn or two and repeat. you will catch fish! I reccomend color 194 also target downed trees. Use the search feature to find threads on topics your interested in. and post pic of your bass later e
  3. hmmm...was that fish caught near a grassy knoll?
  4. one of those rebel craws run it thru the back sides of rocks where there is a current break im bettin there is a smallie waiting for it

I dont think you will have any trouble catching one on that top water plug. they all look great though nice job

  11. it hard to tell from the pic but id try rigging it with the eye and knot exposed that should straightin it out a little and give you more ika past the bottom of the hook. ive havent missed many rigged that way. also I used a #4 gammy ewg
  12. hi i am eric, and i am a recovoering all caps typer. reason being my shift key was on the blink and rather than get frustrated i resorted to all caps. thats all behind me now... i bought a new keyboard for my laptop and now as you can see ive gone all lower case. ,, thanks for listening e
  13. i read a trick for bedding bass slide a heavy sinker on your line a then tie on a floating crank like a wiggle wart? cast out past the bed and work it to the bed by moving the weight close then giving the crank slack up and down until you trigger a strike i gave it a try but no sucess yet
  14. Dead Sticking is mentioned with jerk baits but i guess you could do it with a lot of other things too. as for the senko i dont think you need to much more than cast it out let it hit bottom lift your rod tip and repeat. most strikes will be on the initinal cast. i havet tried wacky rigging one yet.
  15. i cant tell you how many times i caught a fish by just throwing a senko in the middle of nowhere. uasually i have a target.. a log a rock ect ect... but if my partner has me blocked out with no target i will just cast to nowhere with a senko and let that sucker sink. ive seen fish come outta nowhere to check a senko out. other than that i would just try to find a bedding fish of my own or just fan cast the kitchen sink keeping your line wet keeps you in the game
  16. id look for some rip rap in the area of the deeper stuff or any rip rap. any bridge pillars? large submurged rocks? those are my suggestions, although ive caught smallies flipping wood for largemouth if i were hunting them on a new lake i would try to find rocks first .
  17. you might not have gobies but you have those tennessee tarpon. much cooler than gobies.
  18. That sounds like a recipe for red eye. the fatties are slow sinkers and rigged in reverse makes them run the other way. I like to have some slack for it to run with. I just cast them to the front of some wood and let them work there way in to the strike zone.
  19. i agree i picked one of those caprocorns up and i was impressed very smooth and for &65.00 it didnt perform any different to reels that i paid double that for.
