  1. That game ticked me off, maybe even more than the KU game.
  2. Acted like they have never had to face a zone before. Too many bad shots and dumb turnovers. How did Illinois fare this year???
  3. Brad Paisley "I'm Still a Guy"
  4. Try some of the smaller lakes that MO Dept of Conservation manages. There are a lot of little gems around the area if you put in a little time exploring. The MDC has a big atlas with the state broken up into sections and all the lakes listed.
  5. You'll be fine. I use the same reel with 4 pound line in the trout streams in missouri and have no issues.
  6. Keep dreaming. Anyone see the line drive Sal hit off of Chapman the other day? Scary stuff!!!!!
  7. For anyone in the Columbia, MO area..... I got a first generation abu garcia vendetta for $29.99 yesterday at the Walmart on Broadway just west of Stadium Blvd . Like usual it wasn't advertised but when they scanned it it showed the sale price. They only had a few casting rods and I think they were all 6'6" medium. They had quite a few spinning rods though.
  8. At least the Braves were able to pick up Santana, thanks for the draft pick by the way
  9. Shimano Crucial or St Croix Rage
  10. $0................. I sure do love having a combination lifetime hunting/fishing license since I was 18
  11. Toss up between a nice medium rare ribeye and shrimp. And then beer of course!!
  12. I've had the Compre 7'2" MH casting rod and I didn't really care for it. To me it felt heavy. I've got 2 of the 7' MH carbonlites and they are great rods. Of the three you mentioned I would say try the bucoo, but I'm only saying that because I don't care for the compre and mojo for those techniques you listed.
  13. I caught a smallie like this at Table Rock a couple years ago. It was a single feathered treble hook with the line still attached. I attempted to pull it out but stopped when it became obvious it was not coming.
  14. Thanks!! Just got mine changed.
  15. It's been a while since I've been down there but we used to go to Van Hook Bait and Tackle on HWY 5 just north of camdenton. I believe it's on "old" hwy 5 so you might have to get on google maps and check it out, but it's not more than a mile or two outside of town.
  16. Its probably the same guys that were trolling past the ramp when we were trying to load up. I went out around the buoy to turn around and had to hurry out of there as he was crawling up my backside. Apparently he expected people loading up to get out of his way, no matter how close to the ramp he gets. And then....... there was the two jokers blocking the entire ramp while people were waiting to load up. I finally yelled up to them and asked if they could move to one side or the other. One guy just looked at me stupid, and the other acted like he didn't care. After a few minutes they finally finished and left. I'm a little glad I'm not doing the trout day next week considering the kind of idiots that were on the water yesterday. MakeS me think the next time I fish will be a weekday at melvern away from the crowds. Yesterday was the kind of day that makes me glad I don't have to fish on the weekends (even though it was a weekday)!!
  17. Well one time it was me when we were catching those whites, but I was using the trolling motor, and I did it on purpose
  18. For that price range there isn't anything better than the Shimano Sienna....... IMO
  19. Unfortunately I'm out for the trout day, Mom is retiring and expects me to come to her retirement party. Going to try to get out there this Thursday and fish it out before you guys have a chance at it
  20. And this is the same argument you see every year on MLB network for weeks on end until the voting is done. I personally agree with the idea of giving the award to the player that has the best year regardless of who they play for. Then there are those that have the same opinion on the subject as you. I'm not saying one is necessarily right, just saying how I feel about it.
  21. When I got out of the academy she was working for our department as a civilian. Had seen her around and knew who she was, but at the time she had a fiance who treated her like crap, and I was also a little scared to talk to her. She eventually dumped him. About a month later I went out with a bunch of people from work. Sat at a table with her all night talking and eventually asked her out. Went on a couple dates and that was pretty much it. Dated her for about three years before I asked her to marry me, should have done it sooner. We've been married about 2 1/2 years now and have a wonderful 1 1/2 year old boy.
  22. I can't necessarily argue with you about Freeman, he had an MVP caliber year. But for you to downplay the kind of season Goldschmidt had just because his team didn't make the playoffs is a little unfair. Personally I think Goldschmidt should have been the MVP.
  23. I don"t work the road, overpaid babysitter, but the way you did it would work for me if I did. My only experience with traffic stops have been from ride-alongs with co-workers and academy training so take that for what it's worth.
