  1. Bought the alarm and switches on Amazon....you can spen more on the alarm and get a two-way remote....for those times when the boat is just out of ear shot. But this works great for me. Pyle PWD701 4-Button Remote Door Lock Vehicle Security System Omall 5PCS Micro Limit Switch Long Hinge Roller Lever Arm SPDT Snap Action LOT I used normally closed switches. I have a little more work to go.....put heat shrink tubing on the wire connectors and anchor the wire...but need to get something that will work. Holler if you have any questions. Mounted under hatch lid. Close up but reversed image of switch. Here you can see hatch lid closed....depressing the switch.
  2. Last year I installed a boat alarm from th-marine......the one KVD promotes. It really didn't do a very good job at all.....had to really bump/bounce the boat pretty hard to get the alarm to sound. I pulled it out this weekend and installed a car alarm.....installed switches on all the hatches. Alarm sounds with the crack of any hatch.....and barely touching the boat. Much better product. $30 - Alarm $8 - switches $9 - screws, washers and lock nuts to mount switches $7- bell wire $8 - solder less connectors Had tape and shrink tubing already.
  3. Yep......people ask when/where I carry......I tell them everywhere/all the time......if you knew something was going to happen on the trip/errand.......I wouldn't go. You NEVER know when you will need to defend yourself....keep your head on a swivel. Again....prayers to his family.
  4. x2.....I just have nothing else to say that is constructive on this issue.
  5. I heard that the greater Fin and Feather area are stockpiling taters!
  6. I change mine annually. I think Mercury recommends every other year....but I'm not positive.
  7. I have 2 beds available at the Kentucky Lake road trip......anyone interested in sharing a cabin? Let me know.
  8. Anyone in the Tulsa area interested in being a Marshal in the Big Bass World Championship (BBWC)? What is involved: you volunteer to take 2 fishermen out in your boat on Ft Gibson Lake on 10/31. They come from all over the U.S. You run your big motor and they run the trolling motor. No electronics allowed (except you can use to navigate) You can't provide any information about fishing the lake or fishing advice of any kind. You can shoot the bull with them. You will be invited to the intro dinner the night before. The fisherman will give you some gas money. While it's not fishing.....it's kind a cool of being part of someone winning a boat and cash? They still need 6 boats. Let me know if you're interested. Chris
