  1. I agree, they love the weedless grass minnows.
  2. Mine has the same issue. It's not really an issue/problem though. It's not hard to get dialed in. I have the gen 3 and it works flawlessly. How do you like it so far?
  3. I want to catch my first ten pounder. The bass that I am going for is in my picture and I think that with it being healthy and full of eggs because I believe it is a female, and also have food in its stomach with the good amount of minnows in the pond, that it could possibly go past the 10 pound mark and maybe get up to 11 quite possibly 11.5. Also catch my first crankbait and spinnerbait fish.
  4. I have one paired with a duckett micro magic and the combo is rediculously light. I have not caught a fish on the SX yet, but then again I didnt fish it often because I did not like left hand retrieve. I sent it back to TW and got it replaced with a right hand retrieve and I am going to put it on a rod today. I was able to cast jerk baits and Texas rigged worms easily. I would recommend getting one. Only thing is it took me about 25 minutes to get it tuned the way I wanted it. Mine is in a 6:4:1 ratio.
  5. Nice job, I still need to catch my first spinnerbait fish. I also need to catch my first bass of the season. Hope you catch many more.
  6. Nice fish man. Good job!
  7. Look up RiverHawk gheeno's on google. Me and my dad have one and its awsome. 2 to 3 people can stand in it and it is really hard to flip.
  8. Which reels do you like from quantum? I might have to try some out. Or at least go to BPS and hold some.
  9. I own a pfleuger president spinning, love it. Abu SX 3rd gen, love it. Lews speed spool, love it. Pro qualifier, same as the others. I also beleive most reels that are made now are high quality. The only thing that made me not like quantum is I have a rod and reel from them and it's terrible. I also held the EXO and the way they made a reel which costs so much is poor in my opinion. I have not however tried any of there other reels except for those two, so I can't declare that I don't like quantum yet.
  10. Just wondering, is it an S-Waver? And I was also curious about this color.
  11. Thank you guys for the congrats. I'll tell my dad.
  12. And for some reason I can not upload pictures... I will figure it out tomorrow.
  13. Me, my Dad, and my friend went out in my dad's new boat which is a new boat to us. We went to lake Lanier and man was it windy. There was 15-25mph wind and the current was rough. We passed some humps and thought that we needed to go back and drift over it. Drifted over the humps and my dad got a huge hit. He set the hook and missed it. He then casted again to see if he could hook up and wouldn't you know it he did. It was a 4 pound 1 oz spotted bass. This was are first time out in our new boat. It was exciting to say the least. We expect to have many more fun trips in this boat. PS: Do you guys think that it had a big belly from bait fish? Or eggs. Just wondering. And here are some pics of the new boat. It's not the prettiest, but it is an awsome boat for freshwater and the bay. Don't mind my dad haha. Now we don't have to worry about fixing anything for a while! Please don't move this thread to boating section because most of the pictures are when we were either putting the boat in for the first time or catching the fish. Thanks!
  14. I'm thinking that they might start moving towards beds this week because of how the water temperature might get up in the high 50's. Its a big pond with weeds in it. Would you think top water would be good when this starts happening like a spro frog? Or should I use a swim jig or a crank bait along weed lines? Any help would be great, thanks
  15. I'm from Roswell. Your about 2 hours away from where I live. Maybe we could fish sometime?
  16. what part are you from?
  17. I would be up for it but that's a little far. I live in Roswell Ga so that would be a long drive. We can plan out a trip sometime if you want? You would probably want someone older though right?
  18. I also think there might be a top water bite. The drastic temperature change from 44 to 66 might make my top water dreams come true haha.
  19. Ready for 60+ air temperature for the next 5 to6 days.
  20. Lew's Speed Spool 7:1:1 ratio paired with a Heavy Duckett Micro Magic for throwing jigs and topwater baits such as frogs and swimbaits. And a Pfleuger President paired with a Dobyns Champion.
  21. 60 plus degree weather for about 5 to 6 days. Can't wait!
  22. Nice fish man, I also live in Georgia. I went out Saturday and yesterday and had no luck. That wind was crazy yesterday.
