  1. I agree the 6th sense is a good bait. I just aint going to put any money into Milikins pocket. The fritts, little John and Otts stuff are good and I like the Brians balsa
  2. I have some as well as the 78's. I haven't seem the magic you speak of . If your only getting 4 feet out of a standard 110 it's probably the line your using . My 110's usually suspend fine out of the box. Once in a while they might need a extra split ring or a turn or 2 of solder but it's going to vary with the water temp.
  3. The last one I found was at ALF
  4. I'm a big fan of the JR. +1 in FA Wagasaki as well.. It looks a lot like Table Rock shad. I think we will see more deeper diving baits because of FFS and them being fished year round. I always put them down at 60 degrees but the scopers fish them faster over brush etc.. One thing I've noticed is they seldom if ever, move down to get the bait. We fish for them suspended in trees a lot and you want to be sure your not under them.
  5. I personally wouldn't use braid on a stick bait. If you stay with the vision and it's variant's and the Spro McStick it's hard to go wrong.
  6. That T7 is a great blank. What models did you get ?
  7. Fast vs x fast is going to vary depending on manufacturers. Personally , I like a pretty quick rod for finesse baits like ol' Ned or anything that gets bit on the drop a lot. 200 bucks? I'd buy a Levante Whip snake every time.
  8. I have to ask about the 48 degree water and what makes the Yamamoto single tail special ?
  9. In the Ozarks we call that scubbing. Just reel it fast enough to keep in moving along the bottom. Nothing fancy in the least any 1/4 oz ball head with a hook that's the right size for a Chompers or BPS 4 or 5 inch salt and pepper grub . A Yamamoto 7ft Medium spinning rod with 8lb. line.
  10. You did it on your own. Bass fisherman are made on the lake not the internet or tackle shop but it's sure fun to try new stuff. You are welcome. Tell Jordan and the guys at Virtus if they have the mandrel for the old Falcon Shoal cranker they need to bring it back.
  11. It depends on where you fish and water clarity. For me, mostly its watermelon candy with a little chartreuse from a zoom marker on the tail.
  12. Glad you got out. I was thinking today would be a good one with the snow. Cold and nasty is Table Rock weather.
  13. Come on up to Table rock. It's not uncommon to get the triple . I actually try to get away from the spots in a derby. You can catch a 2 pounder that won't measure. I had day this fall where I had largemouth, smallmouth, spots and a meanmouth for good measure. That probably won't happen again and the meanmouth would have kept.
  14. 100 %. I think there's just so many folks who have learned to fish on the internet that they honestly believe they will catch more fish on a NRX plus( it can't be the OG NRX ) than say a Falcon Cara. Ain't gonna happen. But there are plenty of people ready to accept your debit card. If I buy a new 85 inch TV and put my foot through it watching the Missouri game, does Samsung somehow owe me a new TV and a apology ? Last year.
  15. In 45 years of fun fishing, tournament fishing and traveling to go tournament fishing I've broken 2 rods a Loomis in the trolling motor bracket about 10 years ago and a Fenwick glass rod about 40 years ago that got the tip stuck on a piece of pole timber on Bull Shoals. I have 4 legend elites and a Victory crank bait rod no Issues at all. I would never buy a rod to break it. I buy a rod for the performance. If I shut it in a rod locker or let it hang out of the boat and run it into a tree that's on me. I'd rather see them do away with any warranty and price rods accordingly. Your paying for a warranty in the price of the rod anyway. There legitimate claims for sure but IMHO there are far more that are just BS. and loomis ,St.Croix ect know it. .
  16. I have the SC Victory power Target Cranker 7ft2 MHM . It's a great mid depth and squarebill rod. I think you could cheat it up to a 5XD but after that it's out of gas.
  17. I'm not mad at him I just don't like him. He acts like he has uncovered some giant conspiracy. Hell, I'm still mad at Rapala for buying storm and jacking up the wiggle wart and that's been close to 20 years. Ranger has had what? 4 different ownerships. Lews has absolutely nothing to do with the late Lew Childre but Lynn Reeves bought the name from the Childre family and then it gets sold to strike Kings parent company whoever they are. Things get bought because they are for sale
  18. I was talking about his attitude in general. I don't need him to educate me on the fishing industry. Sooner or later, somebody will come along with a big check and make an offer to buy 6th sense. We will see what he does then.
  19. Personally, I can't stand his arrogant azz and I'd love to see Randy punch him in his big mouth. On a personal note, I've bought 6th sense products for years until he got a part of the business, I won't buy them any longer and I wouldn't use the MFer rods for a tomato stake.
  20. They always seemed ok for the price point. I'm sure they will do the job . Halo used to be owned by Louie Zhang who sold it and started Ark. I believe they are now under the Net Bait umbrella. American something or other is the parent company.
  21. Personally ,If I wanted a 4 power GLX for those applications I'd buy a 844 MBR .I've owned a 854 in a NRX and it's a good dragging rod but those MBR actions are just special.
  22. Cut down speed craw.
  23. If I could only pick one MB 110 or JR. color it's pro blue every time.
