  1. Completely depends on the day and what the past few have been like for me and my family. If its been a bad week then i wont really be focusing on fishing, itll be more of a deep thinking in the woods kind of deal. If its been a good week then im focused on that next pig to make the week even better. If im with my buddies (aside from ChasingBass) then its just jackin around, not much fishin goes on
  2. She never had much interest in eatin em, she just wanted to hunt em and bring em to us
  3. I had a problem with my gen 3 revo s not re engaging and all it was the thumb button (some how) got pushed down enough to cast but not enough to re engage, kinda stuck in that position. Just push the bar down pretty hard and it may fix it, worked for me
  4. Ive never met a jack that was lazy. My tiny little 10lb jack thinks she can kill anything, including my 60lb lab and viezla. I love jacks, but my viezla used to be able to catch birds out of the air til she went blind
  5. its only here til winter so get sick of it before then!
  6. If yall have never seen any of darcy's (mudjug1 on youtube) videos on youtube look em up!
  7. The reason the pinch is missing from copenhagen is because its 100 percent american tobacco that settles in the can. Foreign tobacco ( for some odd reason) is fluffier and thats why grizz cans are so full. I personally dont like SB that much. Its much too sweet for me
  8. Its bourbon flavored. Its a seasonal dip here in georgia. I pay 2.59 for grizzly and 3.69 for cope unless i got walmart where it 2.43 for cope
  9. I love my Grizzly Extra long cut natural and Copenhagen long cut. I just picked up a can of Copenhagen black today and love it. Definitely recommend it.
  10. I always "thumb" the spool even with spinning reels. I just put my hand on the spool and stop the line as soon as it hits the water. Keeps wind knots to a minimum
  11. Your number will be 666-666-6969
  12. Ill never forget even though i was only 5 at the time. God bless all those affected
  13. Ive saved so many fish by learning that technique. Not only my fish but my dads and friends as well. If you bass fish and havent learned it youre doing something wrong
  14. So you need to put a lacrosse stick in his hands
  15. I completely agree with raider. The whole turn the other cheek approach works fine for words in my opinion but if it gets physical dont hesitate to beat them to a pulp. Or if some one gets physical with some one weaker than you or a woman, you stomp them to the ground. Thats how i was raised and how my kids will be raised. And just like raider, i have good friends that are weaker people that ive stood up for. Got me in a lot of trouble at school but never at home
  16. All the places i fish that have beavers are fine unless theyre in the immediate area. My suggestion would be to "remove" the beavers if possible. They sure like to destroy things
  17. I still remember my first bass caught on artificial. I was probably about 12, got him on a purple off brand trick worm lookin thing rigged on a bait holder hook. You now have the bug, congrats on the fish!
  18. It couldve been one your infamous toothy critters yall have up north
  19. The only time i ever use gloves when fishing is when its freezing or below and only til the sun comes out but i just use the cheap half finger gloves from walmart. I cant stand having my fingers fully covered when fishing
  20. I have a bunch of my grandpas old rods and reels and tackle from the 40s and up to the early 2000s. Id give anything for one more fishing trip with that man. I know it gets said a lot but he truly forgot more about fishing than i could ever hope to know. I guess that tends to happen when you grow up with Orlando Wilson as your best friend. He was the one that really got me into fishing from beyond that grave. I found his gear in the barn and fell in love immediately so it really means a lot to me.
  21. Dont cast over me or i will not hesitate to flip my knife out and cut your line. ABSOLUTELY NO BUG SPRAY, not even because i think the fish dont like it i just cant deal with the smell. Just about the only other thing would be NEVER throw crap in the water or slam your bait in the water to get the weeds off or sing while youre with me unless its humorous. Other wise i dont care what you do. Play with your phone, smoke, switch baits every to seconds. i couldnt care less, just dont be boring and dont be that guy that talks non stop
  22. I really believe that its one of those things you have to learn and a good sensitive rod will help A LOT. Switching back and forth from my favorite texas rig rod and my other rods is no comparison. I had a good idea of if it was a bite or weeds before i bought a good rod but with it i can know for sure. IMO you can only get so good at it without a really sensitive rod. Another thing i do if i feel resistance is just a quick rod movement. Not a full on hook set but hard enough that if it is a bite you can keep going with the movement and set the hook. Kind of an abreviated hook set if that makes any sense
  23. Sounds like you have a good excuse for some new gear, you really NEED that 7'6" extra heavy rod with 85# braid so next time you can winch in the fish and the tree
  24. I love my Micro magic 7' MH. Great sensitivity and overall feel but i use it for texas rigs seeing how thats almost all i throw. Ive never used a dobyns but i do have a carrot stick and the duckett and carrot stick cannot even begin to be compared or take carrot stix into consideration when talking about duckett rods. They are on a completely different level
  25. I dont like the waiting to set the hook thing, i get fish swallowing the hook if i wait. Generally when i feel a bite, i reel down and cross their eyes
