Whopper Plopper = Crap?
Supposedly the new 110 Whopper Ploppers have a "weed resistant convex tail" so it might help keep the muck out of the back end that fouls it up.

Wacky rigged 4" YUM Dinger (with o-ring) retrieve rate?
I guess i've never dead sticked a wacky rigged senko before like everyone is saying here. I've always caught them by casting them out, waiting a second to get a little depth and then start barely shaking the tip of the rod to make the worm wiggle while I slowly reel it back in. I do this with a #1 or 1/0 weightless mosquito or drop shot hook.

Whopper Plopper = Crap?
I did have a split ring break on one of my small ones, on a 10" fish no less as I swung it up out of the water. I have had that same one bend the wire holding the back half of the bait where it spins. Affected it pretty drastically too and it really hasn't worked right since, but it still catches fish. Changed the split rings to some Owners and changed the hooks to some Mustad short shank wide gaps.

Tracker boats
Running wires on Pro Team 175txw's is a piece of cake. There are screws that hold down the throttle control area and more that hold down the wire race down the rear starboard deck. Took me about 30 minutes to run the wires and install my Garmin unit at the dash, about an hour to install my front one, and that included going to to the hardware store to get a fish tape to help run the wires under the front deck. They are pre-wired up front for power for the finder if there isn't one already installed. If they charge $500 to install two units I'm in the wrong business as an hour and a half to install two works out to be $334/hour

New boat now new problems
For $40 more than the Harbor Freight ones (which I've heard don't have bearings in the castor wheels and bind under weight) you can get some better ones and a set of 4, one for each wheel. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAAXV48S4327

Whopper Plopper anyone's favorite Topwater Lure?
Depends on what I'm fishing for. If I'm in a lake and fishing for largemouth it's a great lure. If I'm in a river fishing for smallmouth it seems the walk the dog type lures work better for me. I've caught a couple smallies on the WP but I've caught more largemouth on lakes with it.

Bass Tracker / general boat questions
2700lbs towing capacity is pushing it with a 175 tracker. I think mine is around 2300lbs full of gear, gas, and three batteries. My F150 doesn't know it's back there hardly, but with an Outback you'll have your hands full. The thing the outback has going for it is it's AWD so that will help on wet ramps. And I know it says max towing is 2700lbs, but I've always been told to keep the towing weight below 80% of the max towing capacity of the vehicle to be on the safe side.

Helix low voltage shut down?
I agree. New battery is in store for you.

Frustrating Boat Loading Problem
I'd look at your bunks closer. They may seem solid but they may be beginning to rot. Mine seemed fine until last year when I launched and pulled the trailer up and one of the bolts had completely fallen out and the bunk was flopping around on the trailer. Tried to put a new bolt in and saw that the wood had pretty much started to disintegrate.

BPS Double Down Plopper??? And I was Going To Buy Another WP 130
I was just told that BPS took all the 3.5" Double Down Ploppers off the shelf because of split ring issues.

NHL Playoffs
Wow. That's more of a choke than the 50 years of Blues choking.

NHL Playoffs
Rinne has a tough time with short rebounds. Blues need to get guys in front of the net facing him and SHOOT THE DANG PUCK ON NET! Good things will come from it as seen from tonight. That 5 on 3 the Preds got was bogus.

Charging battery
If it's a 12v battery set it to 12v. If you have two batteries charge each one separately at 12v.

Anyone Still Using Berkley Havoc Baits?
My wife loved the backslides. Caught a ton of fish on them. To get the same action as the backslides when using the centipedes you can use a small nail weight in the opposite end you are texas rigging them and it'll have similar action.

Totaled boat
Conditions don't seem real conducive to wanting to be out on a boat that size. I have a 175TXW Tracker and 2' waves and 30mph winds don't seem like it would be much fun.

Tackle trays/storage
Harbor Freight has these really nice storage containers that hold deep diving cranks really well. They store spinner baits really well too since the compartments are nice and deep. The dimension is a little different than typical fishing tackle boxes but they fit fine in most storage compartments on boats. And they are only $5. https://www.harborfreight.com/abs-storage-organizer-95807.html

Meanwhile, in Missouri...
This is what we are dealing with in Missouri right now after mega heavy rains over the weekend. This bridge, as well as many others in the southern parts of Missouri, have been washed out by the high waters of many streams and rivers. This bridge was located about 45 minutes west of St. Louis on the Meramec River. Record flows and gauge heights. We fished under this bridge earlier this year and there is a new bridge about 100 yards down stream that got hit by this one. Unknown damage to the new bridge since the water is still rising.

Who uses face shields
My buddy laughs at me everytime I wear one when we are fishing but I don't like having to reapply sunscreen, especially on my face in the summer when it runs down my face and burns my eyes. I bought a bunch off SA Fishing for cheap. Usually you can find them for like 5 for $15 when they run sales. I wouldn't buy the expensive ones because they aren't much different. https://safishing.com/shop/5-for-15-face-shields-free-decal/#configuration

low alcohol beer with flavor
Stone Go-To IPA is a good one if you like it piney, and it's about 4.5% ABV

Where are the fish! (Missouri/ Illinois guys)
Coffeen is a strange one. Since it's a powerplant lake so the water stays warm year round so the spawn time is a little different over there. They probably spawn a little earlier than most places since they can go up into the warm water once it gets to around 60 degrees or so and do their thing. It's probably a little warmer than that now since we've been having nice weather so they are probably post spawn and back out in the main lake. I've never been to Little Prairie but I'm sure they are real close to spawn or even post spawn since it's a smaller lake it may have warmed up faster than larger lakes in the area so they'd be off the bank some. Should be getting around to being top water time although all this cool rain we've been getting might really screw them up.

NHL Playoffs
All of the 2nd round series are going to be good. That Pens-Caps series should be good enough to be a Cup final. The Rangers and Ottawa should be interesting. Edmonton is going to be a tough team for the Ducks. and then we have my team the Blues playing a Nashville team they owned a couple weeks before the playoffs when they were both fighting to make it into the playoff. Let's Go BLUES!!!

Big props to Garmin
I'll have to say. I thought I lost my Garmin Echomap 73sv today. We were crashing some serious waves and the finder came loose out of its cradle and over the side it went. I thought it was gone. Circled around and after searching the waves for a minute we saw something and low and behold the thing floats. Pretty well too. Scooped it up in the net, popped it back on the cradle and it fired right up. I for sure thought the fishing trip turned real sour. It's nice to know that if I ever have fumble fingers trying to put it on or take it off at the dock or ramp and I drop it in the water I don't have to worry as much.
