  1. Hey everyone. Im looking to get some experienced ideas, on a GOOD QUALITY snap. I dont use them, always tie direct. But my wife likes the snaps,to change baits quicker. So im lookin for some good ones, cost doesnt matter Using worms, cranks, etc. Thank you......
  2. As far as hooks, i use mustad 2xshort triple grips that are sold 11 per package. You might check Lure Parts on Line,as they offer them cheaper the more you buy.
  3. Plano for the most part. Various sizes and style, will get you the most organized. Dont get set on using only one style or size, because youll either have alot of wasted space and extra wieght.
  4. Those Power Humps are nice for me.
  5. Goretex....Money well spent. Mines served me well for 9 years now.
  6. I also have the magnum, and it holds a ton. I also have the large enough 3600s(various models 3601,3600fto,and a 3630). With the outside pockets it holds more than youll need for a tournament, and takes up less space.
  7. I just looked, and i have both those reels in my cabinet. I used them for many years, before swithing over to Abu 4600's. Good ole reels and i could use them tomorrow if i wanted. Hopfully yours will be in good working condition
  8. Picasso, makes very good spinnerbaits also. I have some 15years old and still going strong, just replaced skirts is all ive done.
  9. I personally just stick with the Kietech Swing Impact. Ive done just fine with them, especially with the price difference in the Fat Impact. But thats just my opinion.
  10. This pretty much sums it up for me also, since i throw alot of pork in the same 3 colors, all year.

Culprit make a 6in worm that will work for ya. Ive used, and still do the Gillraker. Used them for 20 years. I get them usually on ebay. Great ole bait!
  12. What a great loss to the sport of bass fishing and his family. Ken helped bring bass fishing to where its at today. One of the legends in bass fishing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
  13. Yep! As a life member BASS use to be something. Now not so much. Thanks ESPN!
  14. Boxes will work, but you will have too store them flat,or standing length ways. Standing boxes of plastic,on end allows them to gravitate into a curled glob, revealing half the box empty.
  15. I was in the same boat at one time. I spent last winter going through all my plastic and realized i didnt need 100 bags with me. I kept about half of it,put the rest in a couple storage boxes. What i kept,i sorted in bags, labled. From feb.thrudec. i never did have to get in the storage boxes, and only carried about 1/3rd the wieght. Out of that i only take certain baits, depending on what time of year it is and how the weathers been. Good luck in your search:)
  16. It will be just fine. Spool it good and tight.
  17. Used to really look forward to getten them. Made for good reading or planning a early spring order. Over the years, they have taken the cheap way out, and their website has alot to be desired.

I always have a bottle with me,and a new bottle at home.
  19. As far as rods go, i would only buy in store. Take a reel with you also,to see how the rod feels with your reel. The only ones id buy are bionic blade, extreme or cranking series. I still use a few of bps pitchin sticks made years ago. Buy in store and inspect closely.
  20. Its pretty sad really. One of the great bait makers, who helped make bass fishing get to where it is today! Ive used it for 27yrs and still do. A wet rag will keepem from dryin out? Properly storing jjs magic, takes more time then wrapping a piece of pork? Its just easier to use plastic for some. I think over the years, sales were down so much because so many quit using it. It brought them to where they are today. If major tourneys were won USING it, the store shelves would be full again? Supply& Demand: The supply would be there, if there was a demand. The supply of pork would be had,if there was a demand, even if it was going to add to the cost? Sorry for the rant everyone
  21. For me there wasnt much i really wanted or needed. Not as good as past years.
  22. I like them. I grew up with having berkly lightining rods 5ft6in. Caught alot of fish with them. Im more accurate with them also, but i still have the standard straight also. As far as accurosy, the pistol grip works better for me. Due to having 2 strokes,my right sides not the same, and im finding the pistol grip more comfortable. Esspecialy the ones with the built in hump behind the reel.
  23. Does anyone have one of the french spinning rods from lucky craft? How would they be for NED rigs?
  24. Seem to have found a positive answer,to a rumor that was started by a sponsers employee? NicePost 1,8 12
  25. All my reels get backing also, some more than others.
