Keitech swing impact. Used the fat impact also, but never did any better with them.

Ive used them many times, and still do. With lighter wire hooks, a properly set drag will solve the problem.

I usually will go with the smallest i can get away with,and how it feels on the rod. Plus i use braid on mine,so the smaller spool (1000&1500) size shimano have never been an issue. A 2500 size reel is a good all reel, for varying types of line, and fishin. It will also have bigger drag washers, and can hold more line. But ive never had any bass, empty my spool on the smaller reels. Good luck on the search. There will be others on here who can give you better advice than me,as this is a site of great knowlege and experience

I will be fishin until mother nature shuts the door with ice. I dont care how cold it is. I literally will feeze, slowly workin that jig an pork trailer. The ride home, will be a gratefull one,because i could go. But if its my last time for winter, it always a long ride home. I never take the time to fish for granted as my time is limited. But know this, all you bass remember, I WILL BE BACK

When i do use a swivel, its always a Spro Power swivel.

I havent tryed tungsten much,simply because of price. But i am placing a order from the site sponsor OM. Mainly for 1/4oz an under. As far as them being seconds, i dont really care. As long as they dont tear up my line, its all good. I will givem all a good look, and fish them for 2days,and deside. Them fish dont know what --seconds-- are anyways

I have a real nice shimano spinning rod, and a shimano 4000 reel. It 10ft long 2pc. You sure can cover some yardage with it. An excellent rod really,especially when im shiner fishin in florida.

There is nothig at all wrong with those spirex reels. I switched out the handles to a single after fishin the double, just didnt care for it. Used singles from older shimanos.

If it still fishs fine,and the rings not damaged or loose, just reseal it. Ive had this issue at times before also. I just used - Hard as Nails clear nail polish my wife had. Any GOOD nail polish will work. Still using that rod to date. It was 6 yrs ago i sealed the crack, and looks no different.
