Ive fished both rods. I think of the 2, id get the Mojo. Build quality is better, and is not need someones name too sell:)

Hi everyone. I have a early 80s, Skyline 100% graphite rod. Its a 5'6" spinning rod. My dad gave me this rod in 1980. All of the guides&tip need replaced now, which i will do this winter. I was looking into the Microwave Guides. I know it will cost more than its worth, but to me it worth a million. Can any of you tell me what guides i need to order, and what you use to measure for thr tip? And any other advice on wether to use a different type of quality guide. This is a medium rod also, that will have a shimano 1500 reel on it. Thank you in advance -- kdw96

I also have a 5'6 Skyline. Really nice ole rod, gonna put a new set of guides on it this winter. Ive used this rod since my dad gave it to me in 1980 I wont get into my 4600 Abu's I have that exact reel also. very sweet little reel!

Buy only what you can afford. Look in the fleamarket area, and sales on web sites. A 300.00 reel does not make a person a better angler. The reels you have now will be just fine. The reel doesnt catch fish, the person holding it does:)

You will be fine. That size rod, is a good all around choice.

I dont think it any thing too worry about. once you put it on a rod, line on it, and adjust spool tension, it will quiet down.

I personally am done with the zman shroom heads! 5.00 a pack, and worthless keepers that will fall of for no reason. The elaztec is tougher than shroomz jigs are:) I will be lookin into Mikes version. If i can get a quality product for the same price or a tad more,it money well spent.

Couple of squirts of Bang or Hog Tonic works for me .

Be carefull when pulling hydroflow boxes out of your bag,box or boat storage. The hooks will have a tendancy to work their way through the holes. And youll get stung ! You dont need 500 holes to prevent rust. I use the plano waterproof, because of the latches and thicker plastic. Drill 2 holes, 3/16 drill bit in the lid, about half in apart,above each compartment. Put 1 hole in each compartment around the outside of the box, about 3/4 up from the bottom. Ive been using the same box for most 3yrs, and have had no rust. Took about 10 minutes
