  1. Well crap. I got a tp1 coming thurs or friday. First thing gonna check the guides. If they arent straight, its goin back the next or same day. For the money theres no excuse for it. Thanks for the info sir
  2. I am looking at picking up one of these rods. 6ft7 M/L (1/16--1/4OZ). I will be using it for the very light ned heads 1/16 an less, and for dropshot up to 1/4oz. The guide system intrigues me, for use with 10-15pd braid. Just wanted to get your opinions on this particular rod. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-LSR.html?from=basres Thank you
  3. Limestone dropshot weights? Never heard of them. Where do you get these??
  4. That is a bandit crankbait. The color is FRIED SWASH. It is sold at TW

The heat and humidity will not hurt anything. But, i would ad silica packs to anything with hooks on it just to help control rusting. Try to have some air flow it will help also(window left open a bit). Your worst enemy is going to be mice. Do what ever you can to keepem out. The heat will not hurt plastics. Its no different than keepin them in a boat, or how the pros haulem in their truck:)
  6. What are you looking for as a trade? Is yours a cast or spin.
  7. I have some, and still use them quite often. Caught many fish with them. Highly suggest tying some braid around the collar for the skirt
  8. Depending on how much rock or brush,i will tie on a leader of actual floro leader material. The reel drag, will be set lighter. If i need more drag its done by finger pressure. I always keep steady pressure, and take my time.
  9. B.A.S.S. has become more of a tournament magazine since espn took over. I am a life member of 37yrs and still recieve it. The magazine has far less informative articles, etc than years ago. ESPN took a great magazine, and trashed it with more advertising, etc. The average bass fisherman made BASS what it was in earlier years. ESPN changed it to a high end tournament, whos who advertising magazine
  10. Seaguar BLUE LABEL is all i will use now. Proven benefits time after time, worth the money.
  11. I have fished both. My brother has the ike rod. Personally i will stick with the MOJO . It just has a better build quality.
  12. DICKS had buy1get1 free LUNKERHUNT frogs. I got a few, dont know how good the are though.
  13. Im definatley no rod builder. But i did clean up a rod handle, then sanded. Blew all dust of and use a oak colored stain and sealer on it. Let it dry couple days. Then i used 220 grit paper to smooth down. Still use that rod today with no issues. The cork did absorb the stain after sanding
  14. I cant speak for the new models. But i have a 7ft med/lt i would not ever sell or trade.
  15. You could always get one of the from cabelas. They hold the rod an reel well, and are not near as clumsy as ths bps bag. Rod locker makes a nice bag too,or use too. Cabelas 4rod bag works well in the back of my truck,as does the rod locker brand which is higher quality than the cabelas.
  16. A one yard mark would be nice in the middle of a spool, as stated above
  17. I had 2 winchs in the cart. Came back 2hrs later, they went from 39.99 to 55.99. Needless to say i ,i aint playin that game.
  18. I cuurently use powerpro yellow, suffix and fireline. That firelines been around for a looong time

I always have a good net. Especially if i have my 74 year old dad with me. I always put my rod down and get his fish,no matter what size or kind.
  20. I will tell you this. I would steer clear of the zman shroom heads. The barb breaks off, and some of the hooks snap where the barb is attached. There are much better choices. I would just order what ever you decide on, for all your bait and terminal from TW. The cost of driving 2hrs +, will save on any xtra to get it to you. You will no doubt get alot of good advice from others on this site
  21. I have a bunch of 3&4in swing impacts. They are not clamshelled, and do just fine. I also have the larger fat impacts, that ive put in smaller laminated bags. No issues there either. The shell on the big fats,is a real PIA to carry in tackle bag.
  22. If i cant get 2yrs use out of a reel, that brand is trash to me. Youll be fine. Although i dont generally use that big of reel. With 10pd line you could use a 2500 size reel. If you can get a 2500 at the same savings that what id do. But if not its fine to. i meant 40 bucks is 40 bucks
  23. Read an reread these posts. And take special note of the last 1or2 sentences in each post! I was taught this many years ago. The drag is not meant to be locked down 100% of the time. Ive seen many, lose good fish, break rods, snap line etc because they keep it lock down. The use of your thumb pressure along with a properly set drag, is just as important as a well educated thumb controlling the spool during the cast.
  24. A good 7ft mh will cover it.
